Barclays fantasy premier league – my imaginary wildcard team

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s a team if I was using my fantasy premier league wildcard now.  Its an application of my “ones to watch” article
Stoke City
Remove player i
Begovic
£4.9
The best of the cheap options and the best defensive team apart from the elite teams.  Great fixtures.
Norwich
Remove player i
Ruddy
Rotates reasonably well with Stoke and a better defensive team than people think if you strip out the thrashings.
Man City
Remove player i
Zabaleta
£5.7
Should have a run in the team now with Maicon and Richards both injured.  City are the best defensive team statistically and will get clean sheets
QPR
Remove player i
Nelsen
£4.0
Budget filler with good fixtures
Sunderland
Remove player i
Cuellar
£4.5
Another budget filler with good fixtures.  Has an injury doubt for today
Newcastle
Remove player i
Williamson
£4.3
Another budget filler with good fixtures.  Game time risk but holding his place over S Taylor
Man Utd
Remove player i
Rafael
£6.1
Defensive stats haven’t been great but not as bad as everyone would lead you to believe.  With Rafael though, you’ll always have the chance to get attacking returns.  Fixtures are about to get very strong.
Everton
Remove player i
Fellaini
£7.0
Top of the midfield shooting stats.  Form last week was  poor but 3 excellent fixtures after Fulham away mean some Everton coverage is essential
Tottenham
Remove player i
Bale
£9.6
Only 1 good fixture left before they get difficult.  Lack of alternatives with good fixtures at the moment so Im sticking with him.  Has the potential to be the most fixture proof midfielder
QPR
Remove player i
Hoilett
£5.8
Gone for Taarabt in the ones to watch but Hoilett has better shooting stats.  More risk than Taarabt but potentially more reward.
Southampton
Remove player i
Lallana
£6.0
Good underlying stats. The hub of the saints midfield.  Some good fixtures around the corner after WBA away this week.  Ramirez when fit though has the potential to be a better option
Chelsea
Remove player i
Mata
£9.4
Difficult fixtures to come but making a strong returns and underlying stats case for inclusion despite that.  Not sure hes fixture proof but this gives some Chelsea coverage
Man Utd
Remove player i
Van Persie
£13.2
The only really reliable coverage for the Utd team at the moment with the midfield rotation and Rooney dropping deeper.  Underlying stats aren’t fantastic but is finishing off chances when they come.
Man City
Remove player i
Tevez
£9.2
City definitely need some coverage in your team and its a pick between Tevez Aguero and Silva when fit.  Out of the Capital One and going out of the Champs league should reduce rotation.
Newcastle
Remove player i
Ba
£8.3
Fixtures are strong although  has the ability to score against any opposition. Monitor the injury position for this week before buying
Good luck to all fantasy football geeks this game week 10 in barclays fantasy premier league!
