Here’s our Euro fantasy tips article as a preview for Sunday July 3rd, the last day of the quarters. As usual we remind ourselves of the fixture and team news, the FFGeek team plans and some player options plus their stats.
Euro 2016 fantasy football advice – Sunday July 3rd preview
The fixture
Here’s the fixture from the BBC website in UK time:
Team news
Remember that there are no transfer options for the McDonalds format, just substitutions and captain changes. Telegraph (20 transfers in the knockout) and Sun (11 transfers in the knockout) you can bring in players between matches after the lineups (an hour before roughly) have been announced.
Here’s the possible lineups and team news/injuries from the UEFA site:
FFGeek team plans
As I said above, remember that there are no transfer options for the McDonalds format, just substitutions and captain changes. Telegraph (20 transfers in the knockout) and Sun (11 transfers in the knockout) you can bring in players between matches after the lineups (an hour before roughly) have been announced.
I’ll do transfers once the lineups are announced an hour or so before the game.
The McDonalds format
I’ve got 5 French players here in Sagna, Matuidi, Umtiti, Griezmann and Payet.
I’ll substitute the three 1 pointers in my team. I’ll change captain from Gomez to Griezmann
The Sun Dream Team
I’ve only got Payet as Rami is suspended.
With only 7 transfers I’m only replacing those players as they go out. Perisic, Meunier and Barzagli are in that position at the moment. My problem is that my 3 forwards are still in the competition so do I want to take out one of those players for Griezmann. I will put in another French defender for Barzagli.
telegraph fantasy football
I have only Payet playing with Rami suspended.
I’ll put in Griezmann for Lukaku and maybe another defender for De Bruyne and switch to 4-3-3
Some transfer options
Remember that there are no transfer options for the McDonalds format, just substitutions and captain changes. Telegraph (20 transfers in the knockout) and Sun (11 transfers in the knockout) you can bring in players between matches after the lineups (an hour before roughly) have been announced.
Also remember that different formats of the game classify different players in different positions
I’ve backed France for this game
Defenders
A French defender – say Sagna
Midfielders
Payet
Pogba
Sigurdsson
Forwards
Giroud
Griezmann
Some stats
Here’s the pre-tournament and Group stage stats for the attacking players and pre-tournament stats for the defenders
