Here’s our Euro fantasy tips article as a preview for Saturday July 2nd, the 3rd day of the quarters. As usual we remind ourselves of the fixture and team news, the FFGeek team plans and some player options plus their stats.
Euro fantasy tips – Saturday July 2nd preview
The fixture
Here’s the fixture from the BBC website in UK times:
Team news
Remember that there are no transfer options for the McDonalds format, just substitutions and captain changes. Telegraph (20 transfers in the knockout) and Sun (11 transfers in the knockout) you can bring in players between matches after the lineups (an hour before roughly) have been announced.
Here’s the possible lineups and team news/injuries from the UEFA site:
FFGeek team plans
As I said above remember that there are no transfer options for the McDonalds format, just substitutions and captain changes. Telegraph (20 transfers in the knockout) and Sun (11 transfers in the knockout) you can bring in players between matches after the lineups (an hour before roughly) have been announced.
The McDonalds format
It’s an all German lineup for me with Def Boateng, Mid Draxler and forward Gomez for tonights games
No substitutions with the French players on the bench.
The Sun Dream Team
I have Hector and Gotze although I don’t expect Gotze to play. The lineup predictor also thinks Hector wont play
With only 8 transfers I’m only replacing those players as they go out. Perisic, Meunier and Lukaku are in that position at the moment. I’ll be putting Draxler in for Perisic I expect. I could also put Gomez in for Lukaku but that seems a stretch for a tough game against Italy
telegraph fantasy football
I have no one playing incredibly. I’ll probably back Germany. With a defender and at least 1 attacker. 1 of Gomez, Ozil or Draxler
Some transfer options
Remember that there are no transfer options for the McDonalds format, just substitutions and captain changes. Telegraph (20 transfers in the knockout) and Sun (11 transfers in the knockout) you can bring in players between matches after the lineups (an hour before roughly) have been announced.
Also remember that different formats of the game classify different players in different positions
I’ve backed Germany for this game despite impressive performances for Italy
Defenders
A German defender – say Boateng
Midfielders
Ozil
Draxler
Forwards
Gomez
Muller
Some stats
Here’s the pre-tournament and Group stage stats for the attacking players and pre-tournament stats for the defenders
