fantasy premier league DGW 34 – 2 to buy, 2 to sell, 2 to hold and 2 differentials

Fantasy Premier League

If you haven’t seen this before, I thought my fantasy premier league articles have become very detailed and stats orientated which is probably fair enough given the sites name.  However, I thought some may appreciate a shorter punchier article with a few players mentioned and only a short paragraph on each rather than loads of stats.  In any case, detail can be found on most players in the “ones to watch” articles or in the case of sells possibly in my “bandwagons and sinking ships”  article.  The players are meant to be permanent buys not just for fantasy premier league DGW34 although any double gameweek is important.

Aguero

He may be a bridge too far as a captain choice except for the most desperate of us but with a good fixture list to the end of the season and another double gameweek coming up in DGW37 he’s essential.  So may as well buy him now. Probably won’t start both games but when you’ve returned in 2/3 of your times off the bench then you’re always a threat.  His stats are virtually on a par with Suarez’s.  Thats why he’s essential

Lukaku

Picks himself by being the only Everton  attacking player that is guaranteed to start both games.  Also in great recent form.  Despite the stats not being 2 bad defensively for Sunderland and Palace in home and away situations respectively you’re still looking at reasonable opposition.  Lukaku has been a bit hit and miss recently against the lower opposition but he’s impossible to ignore for this DGW

Hazard

I’ve been saying hold on Hazard.  However the combination of the  injury, which is expected to be at least 2 weeks and the champions league progression for Chelsea, means that he’s now a sell for me.  The injury should see a free fall in the price narrowing out gap between the sale and the buy back price.  This will allow us to buy him back at a similar price of required.  Secondly the Champions league progression is bound to necessitate rotation.  Ironically with the fixtures being good that allows less risk for Mourinho in leaving Hazard out of the premier league games.  Also the excellent form of Willian, Salah and Schurrle allows Hazard  to be rotated with less risk

Sturridge

How can you advise selling someone who returns a goal or assist in nearly 80% of his games, has an ownership of over 30% and is in a team scoring for fun.  Maths.  Unfortunately 4 into 3 just doesn’t go.  In my mind your forward line should be Aguero, Lukaku and Suarez.  Lukaku should then be making way for a hopefully fit Rooney at home to Norwich in GW36.  Don’t get me wrong.  I’m Sturridges biggest fan (apart from maybe himself)  but it’s a question of numbers.  Also if you’re going to leave him out home to City is the game to do it.

Lallana and Lambert

Ok I know what I said above but selling anyone before a game against Cardiff is asking for trouble. Cardiff have conceded 12 goals in the last 3 games.  3 against Palace who had only scored 6 away the whole season prior to that.  Find a way.

Salah (0.3% ownership)

The Chelsea attacking midfield maybe over numbered but Salah is ineligible for the Champions league as he has already played with Basel.  He ‘s made a brilliant start with 2 goals and an assist in 164 minutes of football.  He also looks deadly on the break and even as a sub has the pace to cause havoc when coming on.  He’s also only £5.5m.  Not only is that unheard of for a Chelsea attacking midfielder it becomes an acceptable risk for rotation.

Adam Johnson (8.5% ownership)

He has the potential to be fantastic.  Witness his 52 points in 4 games earlier in the season.  Has a good share of set pieces and on his day can be a match winner.  The trouble is that he’s only turned up in 8 out of 29 games this season.  That risk is mitigated by 2 DGWs although home to Everton and away to City are both difficult games for DGW34.  If you need to roll the dice though he has the potential for a decent amount of upside

Good luck in fantasy premier league DGW 34
