I’m looking next season to partner with someone for Daily Fantasy Football so I’m trialling Fantasfida daily fantasy football. They’ve set up a free to enter league with £50 prize money called Challenge Geek freeroll. It’s very straightforward to play and I’d like as many people to enter and if you can, offer feedback in the comments below. The deadline to enter a team is 20.00 UK time before the West Ham v Spurs game and covers the GW36 matches except for the Southampton v Arsenal game. Below I’ll talk about it in a little more detail
Fantasfida Daily Fantasy Football – FFGeek trial
Overview
I haven’t played any daily fantasy football before but it seems a good way to add something to the weekend. I want to partner someone next season so I’m trialling this.
It seems a quite simple 7 as side game with scores based on Opta stats and prizes for the winners.
Fantasfida have set up a Challenge Geek Freeroll which is a free league competition over the weekend with a £50 prize at the end.

If not here’s some steps and basic information on what to do
Introduction
First of all you need to sign up which is fairly straightforward.
Then you’ll go into the lobby as they call it and you need to choose the contest you’re entering into. Ours if the Challenge Geek Freeroll
Then it’s a case of picking your team. I did mine fairly intuitively but it’s based on a number of Opta stats so there’s more to it then just goals, clean sheets and Assists. Therefore if you put the time in it should be more predictable as the number of events is far wider.
You have up until the first game which for our contest is the Friday game West Ham v Spurs at 20.00 UK time. Then I believe the teams are locked but you can at least see the lineup of the Spurs game. It also means you can pick your team after the FPL deadline of 19.00 UK time but before the Spurs game kicks off. You can enter 4 teams.
Navigation, like anything new, needs a bit of patience. It took me a while to find my teams in the upcoming area but it’s just a case of sticking with it
