fantasy premier league 2014/15 – season review of the best midfielders

I’ve analysed 19 midfielders in order of their FPL points per game ranking.  This is not my ranking of them by the way Just an order for the stats to be presented.  I’ve analysed them with what I think are the key stats for players and them ranked them individually below in those key areas divided by price.  It’s essential you read the key before reading the stats so you understand them.  I’ve then given a short paragraph on what the stats mean as well as benchmarking good performance for next season.

So what does it mean?

Firstly it gives you for next year what an ideal player should be for the midfielders in different categories

Over £8.0m

FPL PPG – above 5.9 PPG

An FPL point every 14 minutes or better

A consistency return rate of 50% or better

A 10 FPL points + return of 20% or better

Under £8.0m

FPL PPG – above 4.6 PPG

An FPL point every 16 minutes or better although all 3 players had gametime issues which tends to inflate the figure

A consistency return rate of around 40% or better

A 10 FPL points + return of 14% or better

If you needed any more back up why Hazard was player of the season then hopefully this would have convinced you.  In the top 3 in every key category.  Silva and Sanchez followed close behind.  Sanchez interestingly was explosive but not that consistent.

Interestingly Chadli and Oscar showed up in the under £8.0m category although both had gametime issues.  Siggy was probably the best performer with guaranteed gametime.
