fantasy premier league bargain midfielders GW36 – “ones to watch”.

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s my fantasy premier league bargain midfielders GW36 “ones to watch”.   For midfielders at or under £6.0m.  The article is based on a  table of key stats.  I’ve put a key at the bottom of the table to show what each column represents although they are in the main the previous stats.   Then I’ve put a brief commentary on each player which you need to read in conjunction with the stats

KEY

1.  Rank.  My order of the players with the best at the top based on the stats

2.  Time per fantasy premier league point scored this year.  This is how many minutes it takes for a Barclays fantasy premier league point to be scored over the course of the season.  The lower the better obviously.

3.  Consistency:  The % of times that the player got a goal or assist   as a % of games played

4.  Last 5 points:  The total points scored in the last 5 games

5.  Last 5 returns:  The number of times that a player has got a goal or an assist in the last 5 games played

6.  Fixture ease ranking:  The link is at the bottom of the article but essentially I’ve ranked all the teams by the ease of the first 6 fixtures.  The team with the best ranking ie 1 will have the easiest next fixtures of any of the fantasy premier league teams over the next 6 games.

7.  I’ve also added in the number of times they appear in the top FPL managers teams I follow

1.  Arnautovich

Winger who has some share of set pieces.  Exceptionally talented if a little unpredicatable.  Has good fixtures and Stoke on a good run of form.  Also looks to have pens if Walters not selected or on the field
Tottenham (H)
Fulham (H)
West Brom (A)

2.  Puncheon

An attacking midfielder playing in an advanced wide position who shoots on sight.  Hitting form recently
Man City (H)
Liverpool (H)
Fulham (A)

3.  Salah

Great value for a Chelsea attacking midfielder.  Ineligible for the Champions league so should get some reasonable gametime.

Liverpool (A)
Norwich (H)
Cardiff City (A)

4.  Sterling

Fantastic as the advanced central midfielder.  Lower ranking is down to tricky next 2 fixtures.  However fixtures have been irrelevant to Liverpool and if you think that now he’s the obvious midfielder to buy.
Chelsea (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Newcastle (H)

5.  Amalfitano

Winger who has found his form again since coming back into the side.  Has a DGW37
West Ham (H)
Arsenal (A)  DGW37
Sunderland (A)  DGW37
Stoke City (H)

6.  Mutch

An attacking midfielder who gets goals by getting into the box regularly.  One of the more consistent returners over the season
Sunderland (A)
Newcastle (A)
Chelsea (H)

7.  Matic

A CDM in theory who seems to have found his way up the field enough to score.  Ineligible for the champions league so should be a certain starter.  Good fixtures.  Quite expensive

Liverpool (A)
Norwich (H)
Cardiff City (A)

8.  Delph

All action box to box midfielder who’s shown some recent form and has a DGW37
Swansea (A)
Hull City (H)  DGW37
Man City (A)  DGW37
Tottenham (A)

9.  Sidwell

Box to Box midfielder who was also handed the ball on the penalty spot in GW35. Did miss it which may mean the end for those potential additional points

Hull City (H)
Stoke City (A)
Crystal Palace (H)

10.  Ledley

Has been able to get into scoring positions since joining Palace.  Seems to have dropped back though since Chamakh came into the team
Man City (H)
Liverpool (H)
Fulham (A)

11.  Huddlestone

A deep lying passing midfielder.  The attraction is set pieces and a DGW37.
Fulham (A)
Aston Villa (A)  DGW37
Man Utd (A)  DGW37
Everton (H)

12.  Bolasie

A winger in good form.  Great pace and like Puncheon also shoots on sight.
Man City (H)
Liverpool (H)
Fulham (A)
