fantasy premier league best fixtures GW20  – fixture ease schedule

So, here’s our fantasy premier league best fixtures GW20 article where we analyse the teams with the best 6 and 3 fixtures from GW20. The schedule ranks the teams in terms of easiness of their opponents from an attacking perspective. We also highlight the teams with the best fixtures and make some player suggestions with stats to help you make transfer decisions.

Essentially the team ranked 1 will have the best fixtures and the team ranked 20 will have the hardest fixtures.

Column 1 will focus on the attacking ease of the next 6 fixtures from this gameweek. That gives a rough time frame to look at as you never now how long it will be before you can get someone out of your team. However for a shorter perspective we’ve ranked the next 3 in column 2.

The 2nd schedule takes a longer term view. It analyses the next 6 fixtures also from gameweek 21 and gameweek 22

The key teams are highlighted in grey

FOCUS ON TEAMS WITH THE BEST NEXT 3 FIXTURES

This week I’m going to continue to look at the teams with the best next 3 fixtures and highlight the best attacking players. I’ll then look at their longer term fixture prospects

ARSENAL

It’s impossible to believe that the next 4 fixtures could be any better before the Chelsea game and even then it’s Hull after that.

With Walcott injured there are 2 players to choose from in the attacking positions. £11.9m midfielder Sanchez who has played this season as a striker but was moved to the left in GW18 to accommodate Giroud.  That didn’t affect the chances he had and he could easily have had 2  or 3 goals.  His Points Per Game (PPG) before the C Palace game in GW19  is 7.2. CAM set piece specialist £9.6m Ozil is the other option with a PPG is 4.9 before the Palace game in GW19

Burnley (H)
Watford (H)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)
Southampton (A)
Liverpool (A)

CRYSTAL PALACE

The fixtures really couldn’t be much better. Next is the walking defensive disaster that is Swansea and the fixtures are as good as it can get up to when they meet Spurs in GW28. Who to choose to take advantage of it is another matter.   Not so easy.  The obvious option is £7.7m forward Benteke who has a PPG of 4.1 prior to the Arsenal game today.  After his penalty miss against Watford in GW18 there’s some thought that he may lose penalty duties after Big Sam said he would review the position.  However,  if you’re going to get him the time is now.

As to others it’s really not clear and no one inspires confidence.  £5.2m mid Puncheon has some share of set pieces with Cabaye but only has 1 assist in his last 11 starts. £5.9m mid Townsend as an alternate option only has 2 returning games in the 12 starts he’s had this season and hasn’t been a guaranteed starter.  Neither inspire confidence but if you’re ever going to roll the dice at home to Swansea next is the time to do it

Sunderland (H)
Stoke (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
West Brom (A)

MIDDLESBOROUGH

Middlesborough are probably just an attacking gamble for the next 4 games before the Spurs game.  Unfortunately no Swansea, Sunderland or Hull but they’re all reasonable fixtures

There are 2 choices here.  The first is £6.4m forward Negredo with a PPG of 4.1.  He’s been horribly inconsistent with only 5 games in 18 where he’s returned a goal or an assist.  When he has done it though it has been against the lower placed teams and 4 of those 5 returning games have since 9 FPL points or more.

The only other option is £5.3m midfielder and set piece man Ramirez (PPG 3.2).  Manager Karanka is a natural rotater and Ramirez has been in and out of the team and was a sub against United.  He is a gamble but he’s the best of the midfield bunch.

Leicester (H)
Watford (A)
West Ham (H)
West Brom (H)
Spurs (A)

WBA

Hull next and the fixtures after the Spurs game just go on and on being kind up to GW28 when it’s Everton (A) and then Arsenal.

The surprise is that WBA really do have a decent amount of attacking options available.

There are 2 main options here for me.  The first is £5.6m midfielder Matt Phillips (PPG 5.1) .  Since GW11 it’s been 4 goals and 5 assists and he’s a pretty secure selection and doesn’t appear to be a substitution magnet.  His goal and assist against Southampton yesterday saw him in a number 10 type position

The 2nd option is £6.7m forward Rondon (PPG 4.1). He’s not the most consistent returner but has shown the ability to score against the lower placed sides which may make him useful in this run.  He was rested to the subs bench yesterday and even with Robson Kanu’s performance yesterday it’s hard to see him losing his place.

By the way I do like Chadli but his minutes are pretty hit and miss at the moment so makes him a bit of a risk

Hull (H)
Spurs (A)
Sunderland (H)
Middlesbrough (A)
Stoke (H)
West Ham (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Crystal Palace (H)

LIVERPOOL

Liverpool’s fixtures are a mixture of the sublime and the ridiculous at the moment.  However they can score against anyone and with Sunderland, Swansea and Hull in the next 6 anything is possible

With the striker situation uncertain, Coutinho injured and Mane off to AFCON there are 2 options for me.  Mane is a big loss.  He’s so fast and good at running behind defences that he stretches defences and means that can’t push up when Liverpool are in possession.  The only game he hasn’t played is the loss to Burnley in GW2 but that wasn’t related to Mane’s absence  in my mind.

£8.5m mid Firmino  (PPG 5.3) is the first.  Restored to striker against Man City for most of the game he was pretty disappointing to be fair.  He’s also on a terrible run with only game where he’s returned a goal or assist in his last 7.  It’s a case of having faith in his quality over his current form

£7.6m mid Lallana (PPG 6.1) is the other option. He’s cheaper in better form with the only negative being that for the most part he starts from a deeper position.  However he was in the front 3 against Man City but whether that will stay or not remains to be seen

Sunderland (A)
Man Utd (A)
Swansea (H)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Spurs (H)

STOKE

Stoke is a tricky one.  I mean they’ve got a giraffe starting up front for them which says alot.  They’re only really about the next 2 games anyway which are good and after that it’s Man Utd.

£5.2m midfielder Joe Allen (4.2 PPG) is about the only option here if he stays in the CAM position.  I like Arnautovic but a goal and 2 assists in 15 starts makes it difficult to back him

Watford (H)
Sunderland (A)
Man Utd (H)

SUMMARY

Sanchez continues to be essential with his fixtures.  Benteke, Phillips and Rondon are the cheap fixture based players to take a punt on.  Lallana and Firmino the Liverpool options that it’s difficult to have no coverage of.
