FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST FIXTURES GW21 – FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

So, here’s our fantasy premier league best fixtures GW21 article where we analyse the teams with the best 6 and 3 fixtures from GW21. The schedule ranks the teams in terms of easiness of their opponents from an attacking perspective. We also highlight the teams with the best fixtures and make some player suggestions with stats to help you make transfer decisions.

Essentially the team ranked 1 will have the best fixtures and the team ranked 20 will have the hardest fixtures.

Column 1 will focus on the attacking ease of the next 6 fixtures from this gameweek. That gives a rough time frame to look at as you never now how long it will be before you can get someone out of your team. However for a shorter perspective we’ve ranked the next 3 in column 2.

The 2nd schedule takes a longer term view. It analyses the next 6 fixtures also from gameweek 22 and gameweek 23

The key teams are highlighted in grey

FOCUS ON TEAMS WITH THE BEST NEXT 3 FIXTURES

This week I’m going to continue to look at the teams with the best next 3 fixtures and highlight the best attacking players. I’ll then look at their longer term fixture prospects

ARSENAL

It’s impossible to believe that the next 4 fixtures could be any better before the Chelsea game and even then it’s Hull after that.

With Walcott injured there are 2 players to choose from in the attacking positions. £11.9m midfielder Sanchez (Points per game 7.2) who until recently has played this season as a striker but was moved to the left in GW18 to accommodate Giroud and has stayed there ever since. £8.6m forward Giroud looks to have forced his way into the team.  He has an excellent scoring record and underlying stats although he may still be a rotation risk.   CAM set piece specialist £9.5m Ozil is the other option with a PPG is 4.9

Burnley (H)
Watford (H)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)
Southampton (A)
Liverpool (A)

MIDDLESBOROUGH

3 reasonable games before the Spurs game although the Leicester 0-0 in GW20 was hardly an inspiring start

There are 2 choices here. The first is £6.4m forward Negredo with a PPG of 4.0. He’s been very inconsistent with only 5 games in 19 where he’s returned a goal or an assist. When he has done it though it has been against the lower placed teams and 4 of those 5 returning games have seen 9 FPL points or more.

The only other option is £5.3m midfielder and set piece man Ramirez (PPG 3.1). Manager Karanka is a natural rotater and Ramirez has been in and out of the team although he did play 90 mins against Leicester.  He’s also been pretty inconsistent with only 5 returning games in 17 played.

Neither player has any underlying shooting or creating chances stats to give hope for improvements .  It’s a pure short term fixture punt

Watford (A)
West Ham (H)
West Brom (H)
Spurs (A)

BOURNEMOUTH

It’s hard to believe the next 3 games could be better before things toughen up

Not an easy one this.  With Afobe seemingly not going to AFCON then the striker position isn’t clear between him and Wilson.  I’m also a big fan of Josh King who’s a striker classified as a midfielder in FPL.  However his gametime is just far too uncertain

The midfield’s safest bet is set piece man RAM £5.1m Junior Stanislas who has a PPG of 5.3.  He plays a little wide for me and although his shots on target stats are good he’s in the Coutinho mould of shooting alot from outside the box.  However to me he’s the best option.  He’s been pretty consistent returning a goal or assist in 50% of his 12 games.

If you really want to roll the dice there is 1 further cheap option in £4.8m mid LAM Ryan Fraser who has a PPG of 4.7.  He’s had 5 starts and 4 sub appearances for 3 goals and 3 assists which is pretty impressive.  It’s too early to assess his gametime prospects so that’s a risk but he’s started the last 2 albeit for 67 and 72 mins before being subbed

Hull (A)
Watford (H)
Crystal Palace (H)
Everton (A)
Man City (H)

CRYSTAL PALACE

It’s hard to believe the fixtures could be any better up to Spurs in GW28

Losing and only scoring 1 goal to the defensive disaster that is Swansea in GW20 is hardly a great omen for the future.   Who to pick is the question? The obvious option is £7.5m forward Benteke who has a PPG of 3.8.   However there are no goals or assists in his last 4 games and he’s only returned either in 7 of 18 games this season.  He also does need a shoulder injury assesses

With Zaha gone to AFCON there’s no midfield options.  £5.2m mid Puncheon has some share of set pieces with Cabaye but only has 1 assist in his last 12 starts. £5.9m mid Townsend as an alternate option only has 2 returning games in the 13 starts he’s had this season and hasn’t been a guaranteed starter. There has also been some support on the Forums for £5.6m Cabaye but 2 goals in 14 starts hardly inspires you.  The theory seems to be based on him being a CAM but that certainly wasn’t obvious from the Swansea game or the last touch map

West Ham (A)
Everton (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Sunderland (H)
Stoke (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
West Brom (A)
Spurs (H)

MAN UTD

After Liverpool there’s 4 good fixtures until they play the neighbours

£11.6m forward Ibrahimovic is the obvious pick here.  His PPG is 6.5 and he’s returned a goal or assist in 12 of his 19 games as well as in all of his last 4.  Great underlying stats back that up as no fluke either

£8.5m CM Pogba is another option.  His PPG of 4.2 isn’t particularly flash but his recent form has shown improvement with 23 points in his last 4 matches.  I’m personally not that favourable to players who aren’t in the attacking front line

Lastly there’s RAM mid £9.0m Mkhitaryan.  He’s only started 4 games including the last 2 for 1 goal so he is a punt on his Dortmund form whioch saw him player of the season last year in the Bundesliga.

SOUTHAMPTON

Next 5 fixtures are good

Only £6.3m Mid playing as a striker Jay Rodriguez for me here.  He seems fairly safe at the moment having started 4 of the last 6 and has some ok underlying shooting stats

Burnley (A)
Leicester (H)
Swansea (A)
West Ham (H)
Sunderland (A)

SUMMARY

In addition to the above teams Chelsea and West Brom have good long term fixtures if you’re willing to hold out

Sanchez even as a LAM still looks a good investment for the fixtures although Giroud is making a compelling case. Ibrahimovic is the other compellig player to own.   Stanislas and Rodriguez are the pick of the cheap options.  Everyone else has arguments for and against and carry some risk
