Here’s our fantasy premier league best fixtures GW23 article where we outline the teams with the best attacking fixtures coming up from a short and long view. We talk through some attacking player suggestions and produce the upcoming fixtures for each highlighted team.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST FIXTURES GW23 – FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE
So, here’s our fantasy premier league best fixtures GW23 article where we analyse the teams with the best 6 and 3 fixtures from GW23. The schedule ranks the teams in terms of easiness of their opponents from an attacking perspective. We also highlight the teams with the best fixtures and make some player suggestions with stats to help you make transfer decisions.
Essentially the team ranked 1 will have the best fixtures and the team ranked 20 will have the hardest fixtures.
Column 1 will focus on the attacking ease of the next 6 fixtures from this gameweek. That gives a rough time frame to look at as you never now how long it will be before you can get someone out of your team. However for a shorter perspective we’ve ranked the next 3 in column 2.
The 2nd schedule takes a longer term view. It analyses the next 6 fixtures also from gameweek 24 and gameweek 25
The key teams are highlighted in grey
If you want to plan further out here’s the link to our article which identifies clusters of good fixtures for teams

LONGER TERM FIXTURES
FOCUS ON TEAMS WITH THE BEST NEXT 3 FIXTURES
This week I’m going to continue to look at the teams with the best next 3 fixtures and highlight the best attacking players. I’ll then look at their longer term fixture prospects
SOUTHAMPTON
Next 3 fixtures are good. However all the options come with some issues
With FPL classified midfielder Jay Rodriguez playing as a striker returned to the starting lineup and scoring he again returns as an option with a Points per match of 3.3. Thats the highest of any Southampton attacking player apart from the injured Austin. His minutes and rotation remain a risk though.
£5.8m mid Redmond (PPM 3.2) is another option playing in the front 3. However it’s a big leap of faith with 1 assist only in his last 12 games.
£7.0m mid Tadic is another option who plays on the left of a front 3. Another player where a leap of faith is needed as scoring against Leicester in GW22 makes it a goal and an assist only in his last 10 starts. He also has minutes and gametime issues having been struggling to start before the last 4 games. The last 4 though he’s started. However it was only the last game that he got 90 minutes. In the 3 before that his best minutes was 73. He does have some share of set pieces and took the pen against Leicester on Sunday.
Swansea (A)
West Ham (H)
Sunderland (A)
MAN CITY
3 good fixtures before Man Utd and then 2 after that before it gets very tough.
An interesting choice of options here all different.
£12.8m fwd Aguero is the premium option here. He has the highest PPM at 5.4 of any City attacking player. However since returning from his 4 game suspension it’s 1 goal in his last 4. His underlying stats have also dipped recently. He seems to have lost pens to Yaya Toure as well.
£10.5m RAM De Bruyne is the main set piece man and chance provider with a PPM of 5.2. His goal and assist against Spurs was his first in 5 games. He has been fairly rotation free and a safe 90 minute player though
In contrast £7.7m RWM Sterling (PPM 4.7) has been in good form with 1 goal and 5 assists in his last 7. He was unlucky not to get a penalty assist or goal when pushed in a 1 on 1 against the GK v Spurs. He’s great value but just a little too wide for my liking. His last 7 have been good minutes too as the multitude of alternate options could make him a sub magnet.
West Ham (A)
Swansea (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Man Utd (H)
Sunderland (A)
Stoke (H)
CRYSTAL PALACE
Good fixtures up to Spurs in GW28
However, who to play is the question.
The only player coming even close to an option is £7.4m forward Benteke who has a PPG of 3.6. However there are no goals or assists in his last 6 games and he’s only returned either a goal or assist in 7 of 20 games this season. His underlying shooting stats have also fallen away recently.
With Zaha gone to AFCON there’s no midfield options. £5.2m mid Puncheon has some share of set pieces with Cabaye but only has 1 assist in his last 14 starts. £5.6m mid Cabaye has 2 goals in 16 starts.
Sunderland (H)
Stoke (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
West Brom (A)
Spurs (H)
MAN UTD
There’s 3 good fixtures until they play Man City
£11.7m forward Ibrahimovic is the top pick here unquestionably. His PPG is 6.3 and he’s returned a goal or assist in 13 of his 21 games as well 6 in his last 7. Great underlying stats back up that form.
£8.5m CM Pogba is another option. His PPG of 4.0 isn’t great for the cost and he is a box to box midfielder rather than an attacking midfielder. His form improved with 3 returns in 4 between GW16 and 19 but he’s blanked in his last 4. Some improvement in underlying stats though gives you some hope. You are pretty much guaranteed 90 minutes as a plus.
Lastly there’s RAM mid £9.0m Mkhitaryan. His PPG of 2.5 doesn’t reflect reality as it’s distorted by sub appearances. He plays as a RAM and really has the ability to score or assist. However no returns in his last 4 and another early substitution at 72 minutes v Stoke are the issues. With Rooney, Martial, Mata and Rashford all as potential subs it will take some convincing to believe hes a 90 minute player going forward. No real underlying shooting stats although chance creation stats are ok. Has some set piece responsibility.
Hull (H)
Leicester (A)
Watford (H)
Man City (A)
WBA
Great fixtures
£6.8m forward Rondon (PPG 3.9) is one of 2 picks here. However he’s hardly the most consistent with only 2 returning games in the last 10. He does have some ok underlying stats and when he scored this season it’s mainly been against the lower placed teams. I thought he was a little unlucky against Sunderland
The next is RAM come number 10 £5.9m mid Phillips (PPG 5.0). It’s 2 returning games in the last 4 although blanked in his last 2. He also plays in an advanced position, is a 90 minute player and has some set piece responsibility. I’d like some underlying stats but you can’t have everything
Stoke (H)
West Ham (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Crystal Palace (H)
STOKE
Only really 2 good fixtures before Man Utd
£4.8m forward Crouch is a 3-5-2 FPL option and is in great form with 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 4. He also has some reasonable underlying stats to give some back up to that.
£7.1m mid Arnautovic is a player I really like although I wouldn’t fancy a night out with him. Who knows how many fights you’d get into? He plays as an advanced LAM, has some set piece potential and is in with a good shout for pens. Unfortunately the 2 goals against Sunderland in GW21 only make it 3 goals and 2 assists in 18 games played which is hardly a recommendation. There is a hint of recent underlying stats but nothing to bowl you over
£5.3m mid Allen rotates between CM and CAM a bit too much. No returns in his last 5 and no underlying stats don’t help
Watford (H)
Sunderland (A)
Man Utd (H)
SUMMARY
Ibrahimovic still remains as essential in my mind
The fixtures make one of the Man City trio of Aguero, De Bruyne and Sterling worth the gamble
After that it’s tricky. Phillips I still think is a good pick. I also like Rodriguez as a striker if you can live with the rotation and minutes issues.
Of other teams Chelsea once you get through the next 2 games have a good run of fixtures up to Man City in GW31. Costa and Hazard the obvious targets
Liverpool (A)
Arsenal (H)
Burnley (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)
Watford (H)
Stoke (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Man City (H)
Again just a reminder of my fixture cluster article for longer term planning. Also I’ll be updating the FPL calendar article I did earlier which talks about potential blanks and double gameweeks
