FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST FIXTURES GW25 – FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

Fantasy Premier League, fixture ease schedule

Here’s our fantasy premier league best fixtures GW25 article. This weeks article, like last week,  is a little different. Due to the uncertainty surrounding the fixtures of GW28 related to the 5th round of the FA Cup we’ve only looked at fixtures up to that date. We’ve also focused on those teams with that uncertainty and those already removed from GW26

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST FIXTURES GW25 – FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

BACKGROUND

The schedule ranks the teams in terms of attacking easeiness. The team with the easiest fixtures are ranked 1. The teams with the most difficult attacking fixtures are ranked 20.

Postponed in GW26

Southampton v Arsenal
Man City v Man Utd

These are related to the clubs that are in the EFL final and will have their fixtures postponed.

These are marked in red on the schedule below

Those certain of fixtures in GW28

Bournemouth v West Ham
Everton v WBA
Hull v Swansea

These are the fixtures where both clubs are out of the FA Cup and therefore their fixtures should stand in GW28 while others could potentially be postponed depending on 5th round results

The above teams are in green in the schedule

THE FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

As I said above, the schedule ranks the teams in terms of attacking easeiness. The team with the easiest fixtures are ranked 1. The teams with the most difficult attacking fixtures are ranked 20.

GW26 and GW28 FACTORS

WBA have the best fixtures of any of the 6 teams with guaranteed fixtures in GW28.  The rest have pretty mixed fixtures.  Man City are the team to hold before GW28 if you can deal with the likelihood of 2 blanks.

TEAMS WITH THE BEST FIXTURES

I’m going to look at the 6 teams with the best fixtures

WBA

Guaranteed to play in GW26  and GW28

Matt Phillips at £5.9m is the teams RAM and has some set piece responsibility. Has blanked in the last 4 games and has very little in the way of underlying stats. Good points per match stats at 4.7 and he is a 90 minute player generally. He has returned a goal or assist in 9 of 23 games.

£6.8m forward Rondon is the CF. Like Phillips though has blanked in the last 4. He possibly has slightly better placed underlying stats wise although they have dipped recently. His PPG is 3.8 and he’s only returned a goal or assist in 6 of 24 games.

James Morrison has shown a bit of form recently with 2 goals in the last 2 games and is starting to become a 90 minute player.  He is the CAM position and very advanced.  No underlying stats though but you have to accept that with WBA

Here’s the fixtures between GW25-27

West Ham (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Crystal Palace (H)

LEICESTER

Have a game in GW26 .  GW28 is away to Arsenal who will beat Sutton to mean a blank in GW28

No one I’d consider at the moment

CHELSEA

A fixture in GW26.  Away to Wolves in the 5th round who put out a weakened Liverpool team. Hard to see Chelsea going out though as with no European fixtures they can afford to put out a decent team. Likely to see a blank GW28

£10.4m forward Costa (PPG 6.2) is the form pick and has been the consistent player in the league returning a goal or assist in 17/22 games this season. Great underlying stats too.

£10.1m LAM Hazard has a PPG of 6.3.   After a lean spell and a drop off of his underlying stats we’ve seen him return to his best with a fantastic goal against Arsenal

Burnley (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)

BURNLEY

Play in GW26.  Home to Lincoln City in the 5th round of the FA Cup so look certain to progress and therefore having a blank in GW28

The 2 forwards are the only options for me

£6.2m forward Gray only has a PPG of 3.8. He also has only scored 1 goal in his last 5 and was subbed against Watford.  He does have pens though and can turn it on when he has his day.

His strike partner £4.5m Barnes has a PPG of 3.2.  He has 1 assist and 1 goal in his last 5.   He does have some underlying stats.

Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Swansea (A)

MIDDLESBOROUGH

Have a game in GW26.  Home to Oxford in GW28 so unless the team is a total reserve team you have to back them going through and having a blank in GW28

There’s only £6.3m forward Negredo as even close to an option here for me.  His PPG is nothing special at 3.3.  Little in the way of underlying stats and his recent form of 1 goal in his last 5 isn’t anything to write home about.  A couple of good fixtures and pens is the only attraction.

Everton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Stoke (A)

MAN CITY

Have no game in GW26. Away to Huddersfield in the 6th round of the FA Cup so hard to believe they won’t face a blank in GW28 too.

The problem with Man City is the 2 likely blanks, rotation and team selection. The Champions League starting again on the 21st Feb will exacerbate this. The striking position is a tricky one but it’s hard to say that forward Gabriel Jesus doesn’t have the spot after 3 great performances.  He’s £9.1m and has a PPG of 8.3 having scored 3 goals and an assist in his last 2 games.  His underlying stats although a small data set are good though.  The only watchout is that it is early days.

In the midfield De Bruyne is the safest midfield option but definitely the most expensive at £10.6m. He’s been fantastic in his last 3 games although he blanked against Swansea.  His underlying stats are good although assist based with not much in the way of shots which is a bit of a miss for the price.  He also has the best points per match of any midfielder for City at 5.2.  He’s been pretty consistent too returning a goal or assist in 12/23 matches

The safest starter of the others is probably £7.8m RAM Sterling has started the last 10 and pretty much played 90 mins or thereabouts in most of them returning a goal and 8 assists in those games. His overall points per game is 4.8.  My main concern is how wide he plays which can limit scoring opportunities.

Bournemouth (A)
BLANK
Sunderland (A)
