fantasy premier league best fixtures GW26 – fixture ease schedule

BACKGROUND – BLANK GAMEWEEKS

GW26

The following fixtures have been removed and will need to be rescheduled:

Southampton v Arsenal
Man City v Man Utd

GW28

GW28 is FA Cup quarter final week. Games involving teams in the quarters will be postponed leading to a much reduced fixture list. In fact only 4 confirmed at the moment

Definitely staying in GW28 as both teams out of FA Cup

Bournemouth v West Ham
Everton v West Brom
Hull v Swansea
Liverpool v Burnley

Subject to a replay

Man City v Stoke (Man City v Huddersfield replay is 28 Feb) – Stoke are out of the FA Cup. Man City need to lose the replay for the fixture to stand

Subject to further 5th round games

Arsenal v Leicester – Leicester are out of the FA Cup. Arsenal need to lose to Sutton on Monday for the fixture to stand

Should be removed from the gameweek as teams have progressed to the quarters

Middlesbrough v Sunderland – Middlesborough are through to the quarters
Chelsea v Watford – Chelsea are through to the quarters
Southampton v Man Utd – Southampton are out of the FA Cup. Man Utd beat Blackburn and are through to the quarters
Crystal Palace v Spurs – Palace are out of the FA Cup. Spurs beat Fulham and are through to the quarters

FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

Here’s the schedule where we rank the teams with the easiest fixtures for the 6 gameweeks and 3 gameweeks ahead from an attacking perspective.   The next schedule looks at the fixtures for 6 gameweeks on from GW26, GW27 and GW28 for a longer term view of attacking fixture difficulty .  In the schedules I have assumed that Man City win their replay and have no fixture in GW28 and that Arsenal beat Sutton on Monday night.  The fixtures highlighted in green are those with confirmed fixtures in GW28.  Those in red don’t have fixtures in GW26.  Those in grey on the 2nd schedule are those teams with very good long term fixtures

PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

Here we give attacking player suggestions for teams with the best next 3 fixtures.  We then give you the 3 fixtures and onwards until they come up with a difficult one

HULL

There are 2 players to consider for me here.  £5.4m RM Markovic is a new transfer on loan from Liverpool.  He’s only played in 2 of the last 3 against Man Utd and Arsenal and has impressed in both despite blanking.  He’s very pacy and suits Hull’s counter attacking style.  He’s not FPL proven though by any stretch and comes with some risk.

Similar comments apply for the £5.5m LM Rosicki who is an experienced Polish international but not familiar with the Premier league.  Again 2 impressive performances following his transfer in against Liverpool and Arsenal even though he blanked.

The next 6 apart from maybe Everton are a good set of fixtures up to Man City away

Burnley (H)
Leicester (A)
Swansea (H)
Everton (A)
West Ham (H)
Middlesbrough (H)
Man City (A)

BURNLEY

The 2 strikers here are the principal options.  £6.1m Gray (Points per Match 4.7) has 1 goal in his last 4 but blanked in the last 3.  £4.5m Barnes has a PPM of 3.1 and has a goal and assist in his last 4. New signing £5.5m midfielder Robbie Brady scored on his debut via a direct free kick.  It’s possible he could get a decent share of set pieces which could provide returns.  Apart from Liverpool it’s good fixtures up until Man Utd in GW34

Hull (A)
Swansea (A)
Liverpool (A)
Sunderland (A)
Spurs (H)
Stoke (H)
Middlesbrough (A)
Everton (A)
Man Utd (H)

WBA

£6.7m Forward Rondon (PPM 3.6) has been going through a big barren spell having not returned a goal or assist in his last 5.   £5.8m RAM Phillips (PPM 4.6) has also blanked for the last 5 after some early season form.  He does have some set piece responsibility.  £4.7m CAM Morrison (PPM 3.5) has shown some recent form with 2 goals and an assist in his last 4.  £6.0m LAM Chadli (PPM 4.2) also has some form with a goal and 2 assists in his last 4.  He is a substitution magnet though which isn’t ideal.  The warning with these 3 though is whether Brunt moves to the attacking 3 from full back and displaces 1.  It’s difficult to say who that could be.  While the next 2 fixtures are excellent after that it’s downhill

Bournemouth (H)
Crystal Palace (H)
Everton (A)
Arsenal (H)

SWANSEA

2 players here.  £7.5m LAM Sigurdsson (PPM 5.0) is the standout pick.  He dominates set pieces direct and indirect and also has pens.  He’s also returned in each of his last 4 games with 3 goals and 2 assists.  The other option is £6.2m fwd Llorente (PPM 3.8).  He’s had 3 consecutive blanks though since his 2 goals against Liverpool. Apart from the next fixture they’re good until GW31 when they face Spurs.

Chelsea (A)
Burnley (H)
Hull (A)
Bournemouth (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
Spurs (H)

LIVERPOOL

It’s the front 3 here of £8.4m false 9 Firmino (PPM 5.1).  It’s 2 goals and 1 assist in his last 4.  Then £9.3m Mane (PPM 6.0).  However the RAM has only had 1 additional goal in the 3 games prior to that.  Lastly there’s the creative influence of LAM £8.2m Coutinho (PPM 4.8m) who has some set piece responsibility.  He’s on a terrible run though blanking in 7 consecutive games.  2 good games and 2 tricky ones next.

Leicester (A)
Arsenal (H)
Burnley (H)
Man City (A)

WEST HAM

I’ve gone for 3 players here in £6.3m forward Carroll (PPG 3.9) assuming he is fit for GW26.  He’s got 4 goals in his last 4 fixtures.  Then there’s£7.0m RAM Antonio (PPM 4.8).  He’s had 3 consecutive blanks which followed a single assist.  Lastly there’s new acquisition £5.8m Snodgrass (PPM 4.7) who should take a big role in set pieces and play in an advanced midfield position.  In the last 4 he’s got 2 assists.  I’ve not counted Lanzini and Feghouli as I’m a little worried one of them will be the sacrifice for Carroll when he returns.  Apart from Chelsea it’s good fixtures up to Arsenal

Watford (A)
Chelsea (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Leicester (H)
Hull (A)
Arsenal (A)
