Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s my fantasy premier league best forwards DGW34 “ones to watch” article. I’ve  based it around a table of key stats to make it easier to follow.  I’ve put a key at the bottom of the table to show what each column represents although they are in the main the previous stats.  Below the table I’ve shown the  fantasy premier league gameweeks to the end of the season for each player.  It’s important you read the commentary to understand any gametime or other issues which may affect your selection.

KEY

1.  Rank.  My order of the players with the best at the top based on the stats

2.  Time per fantasy premier league point scored this year.  This is how many minutes it takes for a Barclays fantasy premier league point to be scored over the course of the season.  The lower the better obviously.

3.  Consistency:  The % of times that the player got a goal or assist   as a % of games played

4.  Last 5 points:  The total points scored in the last 5 games

5.  Last 5 returns:  The number of times that a player has got a goal or an assist in the last 5 games played

6.  Fixture ease ranking:  The link is at the bottom of the article but essentially I’ve ranked all the teams by the ease of the first 6 fixtures.  The team with the best ranking ie 1 will have the easiest next fixtures of any of the fantasy premier league teams over the next 6 games.

7.  I’ve also added how many of the top 10 fantasy premier league managers I’ve followed.

1.  Suarez

Unlucky just to get an assist against West Ham.  A consistent performer who has goals and assists in him.  The default captain in non DGWs

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Man City (H)
Norwich (A)
Chelsea (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Newcastle (H)

2.  Aguero

A striker who’s returns are nearly as good as Suarez’s.  He’s that good.  If there was no gametime issue there would be no question about him as a buy. No one would even be talking about it.  However, gametime unfortunately is an issue.  He’s been training all week so is fit if not match fit.  How much gametime will he get over the DGW34 is the big question.  Fridays press conference should give a clue.  Again see my article about Aguero and Dzeko earlier in the week which may help you make a decision.  Good off the bench if gametime is limited

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Liverpool (A)  DGW34
Sunderland (H)  DGW34
West Brom (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Everton (A)  DGW37
Aston Villa (H)  DGW37
West Ham (H)

3.  Dzeko

Really found his scoring boots lately.  Or the law of averages on a poor conversion rate is finally catching up with him.  Has gametime risk though going into DGW34.  Gametime will depend on Aguero role and whether Pellegrini plays 2 strikers or not.  See my article earlier in the week on this specific subject.  However he is excellent value for a City striker.  The worst case is that he is a sub for Aguero and he is good off the bench.

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Liverpool (A)  DGW34
Sunderland (H)  DGW34
West Brom (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Everton (A)  DGW37
Aston Villa (H)  DGW37
West Ham (H)

4.  Rooney

Missed last week with a toe injury and had an injection to play in the Bayern game.  No game this week.  A must have if injury free for GW36 home to Norwich  and DGW37

DGW37  no GW34

Fantasy premier league gameweeks to the end of the season:

– Gameweek 34 –
Everton (A)
Norwich (H)
Sunderland (H)  DGW37
Hull City (H)  DGW37
Southampton (A)

5.  Sturridge

2nd consecutive blank against West Ham but has been a consistent performer all season.  Being sold heavily at the moment for Lukaku and Man City forwards

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Man City (H)
Norwich (A)
Chelsea (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Newcastle (H)

6.  Lukaku

Fantastic performance with a goal and an assist in a surprise wide role against Arsenal. Not sure if this will be replicated 0r if it was just for the Arsenal game to isolate Lukaku against Monreal.  Whatever it didn’t seem to affect his performance.  Ignore the ranking as the only nailed on attacking player for Everton thanks to Martinez’s rotation policy.  Therefore he’s a must have for the DGW

DGW34

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Sunderland (A)  DGW34
Crystal Palace (H)  DGW34
Man Utd (H)
Southampton (A)
Man City (H)
Hull City (A)

7.  Lambert

Difficult game against City it’s now on to the bumper prospect of a home game against Cardiff.  Any lingering gametime doubts due to the odd benching are now over due to the awful Rodriguez injury.  Has pens and direct free kicks as a bonus.

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Cardiff City (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Everton (H)
Swansea (A)
Man Utd (H)

8.  Adebayor

2 goals against Sunderland showed what he can do given the opportunities.  Reasonable set of fixtures

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:

West Brom (A)
Fulham (H)
Stoke City (A)
West Ham (A)
Aston Villa (H)

9.  Odemwingie

A cheap option in good form if you want to invest in your midfield.  Excellent fixtures including the hapless Newcastle next.  Also Cardiff and Fulham before the end of the season

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Newcastle (H)
Cardiff City (A)
Tottenham (H)
Fulham (H)
West Brom (A)

10.  Bony

Been a very consistent finisher and returner having been given a good run in the team.  Hull away was his first non returning game for 4 games.  Also has pens as a bonus.  Better fixtures after the Chelsea game.

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Chelsea (H)
Newcastle (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)

11.  Giroud

Has been in terrible form and it was a poor performance against Everton along with the rest of the Arsenal team.  However the fixtures improve from now on starting with West Ham at home

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:

West Ham (H)
Hull City (A)
Newcastle (H)
West Brom (H)
Norwich (A)

12.  Crouch

As for Odemwingie a cheap striker if you want to invest more in your midfield.  Has the attraction of good fixtures and the Newcastle defence next.  Also Cardiff and Fulham before the end of the season

Fantasy premier league fixtures to the end of the season:
Newcastle (H)
Cardiff City (A)
Tottenham (H)
Fulham (H)
West Brom (A)
