fantasy premier league best forwards GW24 “ones to watch”

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s our fantasy premier league best forwards gameweek 24 article where we outline the best forwards for the gameweek and beyond. There’s a table of stats with a key underneath which gives enough information to help you make a choice over which striker you may want to transfer although I have notionally ranked them. It’s important though to read the narrative with the next 6 fixtures coming up as this is where I highlight their prospects and cautionary factors.

Aguero

A blank GW27.  Looks very fit now and in great recent form.  The best underlying stats and able to get a huge haul at anytime

Sunderland (A)
Leicester (H)
Spurs (H)
– Gameweek 27 –
Liverpool (A)
Aston Villa (H)

Ighalo

Written off in some quarters after 3 games without a return but came back against Newcastle with a goal and assist.  To be fair he ticks all the boxes including very good underlying  stats to show it’s all no fluke although to be fair they have dropped off a little recently.  The negatives are tricky fixtures.

Chelsea (H)
Spurs (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Man Utd (A)
Leicester (H)

Lukaku

A blank in GW27.  Been very consistent although no returns in the last 3 have triggered a number of sales.  He has recovered from 4 without a return earlier in the season.

Newcastle (H)
Stoke (A)
West Brom (H)
– Gameweek 27 –
Aston Villa (A)
West Ham (H)

Kane

Stats would be much better if you ignored the 1 goal in the first 9 games.  Has got great form and underlying stats though.

Norwich (A)
Watford (H)
Man City (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)
Arsenal (H)

Giroud

Stats are incredible considering the amount of sub appearances.  Does have the risk of a job share with Walcott as earlier in the season but has been in such great form might hold that off

Southampton (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Leicester (H)
Man Utd (A)
Swansea (H)
Spurs (A)

Costa

A really poor start but has been invigorated since the departure of Mourinho.  Season underlying stats are ordinary but have  kicked on recently in line with his improvement in form

Watford (A)
Man Utd (H)
Newcastle (H)
Southampton (A)
Norwich (A)
Stoke (H)

Vardy

A goal and an assist in his last 2 has started to put right the 4 games prior to that without a return.  Good underlying, even recently, stats give some faith that this can continue. Fixtures really are tough though

Liverpool (H)
Man City (A)
Arsenal (A)
Norwich (H)
West Brom (H)
Watford (A)

Rooney

Now leading the line and certainly has the pedigree to keep scoring.  Has even seen some recent shooting stats improvements

Stoke (H)
Chelsea (A)
Sunderland (A)
Arsenal (H)
Watford (H)
West Brom (A)

Valencia

2 goals against Man City was a great return in a pretty patchy season.  Does have good fixtures and the assist king Payet in the team though

Aston Villa (H)
Southampton (A)
Norwich (A)
Sunderland (H)
Spurs (H)
Everton (A)
