Here’s the thoughts on individual players
Aguero
There’s no doubt that the Man City player is the class forward in the premier league based on previous seasons. There’s also a fantastic set of fixtures and he has pens. The underlying shooting stats are fantastic. He just can’t seem to finish. It’s whether you believe this will turn around
Spurs (A)
Newcastle (H)
Bournemouth (H)
Man Utd (A)
Norwich (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Ighalo
The most forward Watford striker has made a great start to the league with 4 goals in his first 6 league games. Good underlying shooting stats and good fixtures to come. This is about whether you believe this is a flash in the pan or not. He scored 20 in the Chmpionship last season and as I said the shooting stats are good
Crystal Palace (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Arsenal (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Leicester (A)
Sakho
The West Ham forward just keeps chipping away with the returns. 2 goals and 1 assist so far this season. Good underlying shoooting stats and good fixtures to come. Has the creating chances machine of Payet behind him too.
Norwich (H)
Sunderland (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Chelsea (H)
Watford (A)
Everton (H)
Gomis
The Swansea forward started with a goal in 4 consecutive games and then has no return in the last 2. He has played well in those last 2 though and was unlucky to not add to his total. Very good underlying stats back this up. Also has pens. Fixtures are mixed
Southampton (A)
Spurs (H)
Stoke (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Arsenal (H)
Norwich (A)
Wilson
After blanking in his opening 2 premier league games its 5 in his last 4 games including a hat trick against West Ham. Has pens. No underlying stats though is the only shadow
Stoke (A)
Watford (H)
Man City (A)
Spurs (H)
Southampton (A)
Newcastle (H)
Martial
Its 3 goals in 2 games for the 19 year old Man Utd striking sensation. Looks great all round as well although. It’s whether this has been enough to convince you that the 2 games where he’s scored with virtually every shot. Also after the Sunderland game the fixtures really turn. It will also be interesting to see how much he’s played by LVG given the early words he said about being careful with him. A massive bandwagon this week and looking a big captain favourite so if you don’t get him you’ll be watching the Utd game behind the sofa. Sunderlands performance in the Cap 1 against City wont have slowed that bandwagon down either.
Sunderland (H)
Arsenal (A)
Everton (A)
Man City (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
West Brom (H)
Pelle
The Southampton striker doesn’t seem to be the most efficient finisher but you can’t argue with 4 goals and an assist in his first 6 games. Fixtures turning a bit though
Swansea (H)
Chelsea (A)
Leicester (H)
Liverpool (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Sunderland (A)
Vardy
The Leicester striker is Mr consistency at the moment with 5 returns in 6 games. Great underlying shooting and creating chances stats prove thats no fluke. The good fixtures he had to start are turning a little. Also do you want 2 attacking Leicester players as you’re bound to have Mahrez
Arsenal (H)
Norwich (A)
Southampton (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
West Brom (A)
Watford (H)
Rondon
The WBA striker has looked threatening since his transfer with a goal and assist in his first 5 games. Great underlying shooting and creating chances stats plus some good fixtures to come. It’s just whether you believe a striker in WBA’s defensive system can continue scoring
Everton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Sunderland (H)
Norwich (A)
Leicester (H)
Man Utd (A)
