fantasy premier league best GW13 transfers – forwards “ones to watch”

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s our fantasy premier league best GW13 transfers for forwards  where we rank the choice of forwards as transfer targets for GW13. I’ve concentrated on a simplified table of stats, plus some narrative on each player and their prospects.  We also give the next 6 fixtures for each player. Hopefully this will help you make you choice of transfers for GW13.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST GW13 TRANSFERS  – FORWARDS “ONES TO WATCH”

Here’s the table of stats.  As I said in an earlier article I was concerned that the table of stats had become a little cluttered  and hard to read so I’ve replaced it with a simplified version.  The headings are self explanatory.  The fixt ease column shows the easiness ranking of  the next 6 and 3 fixtures.  Use this link to see the full fixture ease article. Also if you want to see the forwards the top 10 FPL managers I follow have in their team click here  Prices are as of Tuesday

Not in this article are Giroud, Sturridge and the Swansea pair due to gametime risk. Slimani due to injury risk.  Anichebe due to fixture and gametime uncertainty with Liverpool next.  Vokes due to fixture.

COSTA

The Chelsea striker has been consistency itself returning a goal or assist in 10 of his 12 games.  He is on 4 yellow cards so will be suspended for 1 game if he is booked before the end of the year.  However he has suddenly gone from someone seemingly unstable on the football field to a paragon of virtue.  3 goals and 1 assist returning in all of his last 3 games and 10 goals and 2 assists for the season.  Good if not outstanding underlying stats.  2 tricky fixtures next will maybe allow time to consider a transfer in

Spurs (H)
Man City (A)
West Brom (H)
Sunderland (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Bournemouth (H)

AGUERO

In my view the Man City striker was very unlucky not to score against Palace.  Returning in 50% of his games isn’t as good as you would want for the price. However he has scored 8 goals and 1 assist in 10 games.  He also has the best underlying shooting stats over the season even if they have dipped a little over the last 4.  He also has pens and although rotation is always a risk his cover isn’t anywhere near his level.

Burnley (A)
Chelsea (H)
Leicester (A)
Watford (H)
Arsenal (H)
Hull (A)

IBRAHIMOVIC

The Man Utd striker is like a volcano waiting to erupt.  He may have done so to some extent at Swansea but there’s a whole lot more to come if the fantastic underlying shooting stats are anything to go by.  He’s taken unlucky to a new level.  It’s just a lot of cash to have sitting around waiting for the explosion to come your way.  Also has pens.

West Ham (H)
Everton (A)
Spurs (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
West Brom (A)
Sunderland (H)

KANE

The Spurs striker has also been very consistent this season returning a goal or assist in 5 of his 7 games so far.  He’s returned in all of his last 4 and 2 goals against West Ham in GW12 has stepped up the bandwagon.  Good if not outstanding underlying stats.  Has pens.  Chelsea next though isn’t the greatest entry point for a transfer which is why he isn’t ranked higher.  After this week though he has Swansea, Hull and Burnley all at home in 4 games.  Out of the Champions League too is a massive boost for his PL gametime

Chelsea (A)
Swansea (H)
Man Utd (A)
Hull (H)
Burnley (H)
Southampton (A)

LUKAKU

The Everton striker has blanked in his last 2 including at home to Swansea when he was a 2nd captain favourite.  That’s always going to trigger sales.  6 returning games in 11 isn’t even going to help that.  Whats worrying is that his underlying stats over the last 4 games have fallen off a cliff.  Fixtures are also turning bad  Baines back could mean any chance of penalty duties disappearing

Southampton (A)
Man Utd (H)
Watford (A)
Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (H)
Leicester (A)

DEFOE

The Sunderland striker has now had 2 consecutive FPL double digit point hauls as well as returning in his last 3 games.  He also has pens.  Whether away to Liverpool is the ideal point to transfer him in is another question but his credentials as the best cheap striker are strong.  His underlying stats suggest overperformance but he certainly can finish as his long PL career has shown

Liverpool (A)
Leicester (H)
Swansea (A)
Chelsea (H)
Watford (H)
Man Utd (A)

DEENEY

The Watford strikers assist against  Leicester in GW12 was his first return in his last 5.  His ranking within this is more about a few decent fixtures in his next 6 rather than his current form.  Has pens.  No underlying shooting stats whatsover which is a worry.

Stoke (H)
West Brom (A)
Everton (H)
Man City (A)
Sunderland (A)
Crystal Palace (H)

AUSTIN

The Southampton striker has been on a bit of a lean run recently.  However over the season his underlying shooting stats have been excellent.  They have dropped off somewhat over the last 4 where he’s had only 1 returning game.  Does have pens but fixtures are mixed

Everton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
Stoke (A)
Bournemouth (A)
Spurs (H)

BENTEKE

The Palace striker has 1 return in his last 5.  Underlying shooting stats though haven’t been bad and certainly I think he’s been unlucky.  A good fixture next if you are inclined to transfer in.  Should have pens.

Swansea (A)
Southampton (H)
Hull (A)
Man Utd (H)
Chelsea (H)
Watford (A)

RONDON

A great performance for his goal in the rout of Burnley.  Also if you’re thinking of buying he has Hull next.  The negative is that the Burnley game was his first goal or assist in 6 and he’s only returned in 4 of 12 games.  His underlying shooting stats are also pretty average. It is Hull next though

Hull (A)
Watford (H)
Chelsea (A)
Swansea (H)
Man Utd (H)
Arsenal (A)
