Fantasy Premier League, fixture ease schedule

Here’s our fantasy premier league best upcoming fixtures article with the GW21 fixture ease schedule. We look at the teams with the best attacking fixtures from GW21 over a 3 and 6 gameweek period. There’s also some attacking player suggestions with their basic stats and their next 6 fixtures. I’ve also introduced a new element this season where we look for clumps of good fixtures for teams to help you pick out a good time to transfer a player in

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST UPCOMING  FIXTURES – THE GW21 FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

The team ranked 1 has the best fixtures from an attacking view point over the next 3 weeks. There are an extra columns for the next 6 weeks.

Underneath that there’s a section called fixture clumps. There’s a schedule which identifies each team where a good run of fixtures starts. The fixture run will also have to have a good entry point fixture. I’ve done these up to fixtures starting at GW26 and will update them each week

Remember this week there’s no fixture for Spurs or West Ham.  Then there’s a double gameweek for West Ham and Spurs in GW22.   That in itself doesn’t change the ranking they are assessed as separate fixtures.

PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

I normally only give attacking player suggestions for teams that have the best ranked fixtures for the first 3 and the first 6 games.  However this week that only extends to Brighton.  So I’ve extended it to Newcastle and Man Utd.

Tomorrow I intend doing focus articles on the double gameweek teams of West Ham and Spurs and the 2 possible Chelsea funders of that double in Morata and Hazard

 Brighton

Firstly it’s worth noting that Brighton aren’t exactly a hothouse of goalscoring.  They are 18th in the table for goals scored and expected goals.  Contrast that with goals against where they are 8th ranked and 13th ranked in expected goals against.  I think you get the picture.  Brighton intend staying in the league through not conceding as opposed to scoring.

I think the main pick here is £5.9m mid Pascal Gross who is the main set piece man and creator in the side.  He’s produced 4 goals and 5 assists in 18 starts plus 2 sub appearances.  He has got an FPL point at a very respectable 15.7 minutes but his stats are padded by an 18 point haul in GW4 and the fact that, for the price, he’s a bonus magnet.  In reality though he’s been quite inconsistent only returning a goal or assist in 38% of his games.  His underlying stats are good as an assister but he offers absolutely nothing in goal threat and has been operating against the stats by a huge extent to get the 4 goals.

I have to confess to being a fan of £5.7m forward Glen Murray.  However before I say anything more he’s been a sub for the last 2 although I have to confess to not knowing what is behind that.  He’s scored 5 goals and no assists in 11 starts plus 9 as sub.  It’s at a pretty ordinary rate of an FPL point every 20.2 mins which isn’t helped by a complete inability to attract bonus points. His underlying stats over the season in terms of goal threat are good for the price but he’s a goal scorer and nothing else and relies on service so that’s not helpful in a defensive Brighton team.  He does have pens, although he missed the last 1.

NEWCASTLE

I’ve written this prior to the GW20 game v Man City

I would really suggest anyone here but if you really are desperate for  representation I would suggest £6.1m forward Gayle or set piece man £5.5m Mid Matt Ritchie.

Gayle’s returns have been pretty ordinary at 3 goals and an assist in 9 starts plus 7 as sub.  He’s earned an FPL point at a pretty ordinary 19.8 minutes not helped by an inability to win bonus points.  His underlying stats have shown recent improvement although again I  would use the word ordinary and add inconsistent.

Ritchie has the advantage of some set piece involvement and an advanced position.  However his no goals and 7 assists at an appalling FPL point every 25 minutes say’s alot.

Swansea (H)
Man City (A)

Man Utd

It’s impossible to talk about Man Utd without mentioning £11.4 forward Lukaku or £7.9m mid Pogba.

Lukaku has scored 10 goals and 4 assists in 20  appearances all of which he played 90 minutes.  However he returned at a poor FPL point every 18.3 minutes for his price..  Not helped by a complete inability to get bonus points.  That in itself makes him a difficult captain choice which you have to be at that price.  He has been consistent though returning a goal or assist in 60% of his games.  However he only got bonus points in 4 of those 12 games.  His underlying stats are good and also consistent especially if you discard games against the top 6 teams where the team tactics haven’t helped his effectiveness.  However they are on a downward curve.

I’m a huge Pogba fan and his minutes per fpl point this season at 14.4 is excellent.  It’s just the 2 games since coming back, which have been 2 blanks for him, he has been poor with little attacking output whatsoever.  That’s the watchout.

At the other end of the spectrum the man in form is £6.1m Mid Jesse Lingard playing as an AM.  It’s 6 goals and 2 assists in his last 7 games.  Those performances have been no fluke either as his underlying stats have been excellent.  He is in uncharted territory as a player though, only scoring 5 premier league goals total in his career before this and producing goal threat underlying stats at half his current rate
