fantasy premier league clean sheets GW4

Fantasy Premier League

I thought given the conundrum I had with my defensive lineup it might be worth having a quick look at the bookies odds for a clean sheets with a few words of wisdon thrown in

fantasy premier league clean sheets GW4

Here’s the bookies odds for clean sheets in GW4 together with a few words of wisdom

£1.85 – Man City home to Watford

Man City have 3 clean sheets and Watford haven’t scored in the last 2.  Thats also backed up by the underlying defensive Stats which have Man City strong and Watford weak.

Best option is Kolarov with Clichy out for 6-7 weeks.  Kompany is the most gametime secure though but more expensive

£1.91 – Liverpool home to West Ham

3 clean sheets also for Liverpool including 1 away at Arsenal.  West Ham have a goal threat though with 6 goals scored so far.  Underlying and defensive and attacking stats don’t really support the strength of either though

Gomez is the cheapie option.  Clyne or Skrtel the premium with no gametime issues

£1.91 – Chelsea home to Crystal Palace

No clean sheets for Chelsea and they haven’t looked solid at all.  Palace have scored 6 though in 3 games and look a real threat.  Chelseas underlying defensive stats are appalling though.  Palaces are ok but not 6 goals worth

Best defensive options for Chelsea has to be Azpilicueta.  Hard to see who has gametime security apart

£2.25 – Stoke home to WBA

No clean sheets for Stoke and only 2 goals for WBA.  Stokes underlying defensive stats are surprisingly good though and WBAs attacking stats are very poor.

Muniesa is probably the best choice here.

£2.37 – Aston Villa home to Sunderland

Only 1 clean sheet for Villa but they’ve been surprisingly ok defensively with mid table underlying stats.  Sunderlands underlying attacking stats though are appaling

Richards is the best choice here

£2.37 – Arsenal away to Newcastle

Potential injuries to Koscielny and Mertesacker change the profile here and make it a tricky choice

Bellerin is probably the best choice here

£2.60 – Southampton home to Norwich

5 goals conceded and 1 clean sheet show a bit of a mixed start. The underlying defensive stats are very good though surprisingly.  Norwichs attacking stats are ok with 5 goals scored.  The underlying stats are mid table type stuff.

To have reliable gametime defenders though are too expensive with Cedric Soares at £5.0m the best choice

£2.75 – Man Utd away to Swansea

To be fair Man Utds stats with 3 clean sheets and very good underlying stats.  Swanseas attacking stats are very good with 5 goals and very good underlying stats

Darmian for me is the best choice

Good luck with your defensive selections
