fantasy premier league deadline day transfers – summary of the main movements

There’s also some transfer activity in our news article of a couple of days ago

MAIN TRANSFERS IN

FPL £5.0m fwd Jordan Ayew from Aston Villa to Swansea

Stats

The stats certainly aren’t anything to write home about.  He’s cheap but he is a forward although it seems Llorente will lead the line.  I suspect he will fit into the 3 of 4-2-3-1 replacing Routledge or Fer.  Away to Man City in GW24 will give us a chance to take a look at him and how he fits in if he’s back from AFCON in time.  Here’s a link to the Sky Sports article on the transfer

FPL £5.0m Luka Milivojevic from Olympiacos to C Palace

Luka Milivojevic is a 25 year old CM/CDM Serbian International (played 19 games no goals)  who moved to Palace for an undisclosed fee

Stats:

So not bad stats for a CM/CDM in the previous year.  I suspect he will replace one of the CM’s of the likes of Ledley, McArthur, maybe even Puncheon or Cabaye.  I can’t see him playing far enough advanced to be an FPL player unless he gets a share of set pieces.  Here’s a link to a Sky Sports article on the transfer

Kamil Grosicki from Rennais to Hull City

Kamil Grosicki is a 28 year old RW Polish International (played 48 games 9 goals)  who has moved to Hull City for a fee believed to be in the region of £7m-£8m.  Not in FPL yet

Stats

Not bad stats to be fair.  An experienced player who should start although with so many comings and goings at Hull it’s hard to know how they will line up at the moment.  Here’s the Hull Daily Mail article on the transfer

FPL £4.7m Sakho goes from Liverpool to C Palace on loan

Big Sams tried a number of personnel and formations so predicting whether he will start is difficult. He would be the cheapest of the starting defenders at £4.7m but if you’re going to go for a Palace defender spend the extra £0.3m on attacking monster that is LB/LWB/LWM Van Aanholt.  Here’s the link to the Liverpool Echo article on the transfer.  He’s played 28 times for France

A FEW OTHERS OF LITTLE FPL RELEVANCE

FPL £4.0m def CB Marc Wilson Bournemouth to WBA

A versatile CB/LB who I expect to be cover rather than a starter

FPL £4.3m mid Adlene Guedioura from Watford to Middlesboro

The 31 year old CM has played 12 games totalling 722 minutes averaging 60 minutes per game for 1 assist.  He’s cheap but remains to be seen whether he will get into the team

FPL £5.5m Mid Robbie Brady from Norwich to Burnley

Will either play LB or LM  if he can get into the side.  His stats weren’t too bad for a guy who played full back.  However will have to see where he plays before he can be considered in a team that doesn’t score that much. LB Ward or LM Defour at the players who he will compete for the place.

FPL £4.5m mid Ashley Westwood from Villa to Burnley

Last seasons popular 5th CM midfield bench warmer comes in at the expected price.  However 2 goals and 3 assists over 3,000 mins in the last 2 years says it all.  Possibly bought as cover due the serious injury to CDM Marney.  Will compete with Hendrick and Barton for a place but hard to believe he is an FPL relevant player.  Here’s a link to the Guardian article discussing both Burnley transfers

FPL £4.5m mid Alfred N’Diaye from Villareal to Hull City

Another CDM who’s pretty irrelevant as far as FPL are concerned.  1 assist in 1300 minutes for Sunderland in 12/13.  Again given all the transfers difficult to assess the lineup for Hull.  Here’s a link to the ESPN article on the transfer

GK Mouez Hassen from Nice to Southampton

The 21 year old French GK has been bought as back up to Forster after the injury to McCarthy.  Puel knew him from Nice. Played 5 time for the French Under 21’s.  Not on FPL as yet.  Here’s a link to the ReadSouthampton article although a couple of days old.

FPL £4.5m def CB Molla Wague from Udinese to Leicester City

Bought as cover for the CB and RB position with the departure of Hernandez to Malaga.  The 25 year old has played 19 games for Mali .  This season he played 6 games for Udinese after 21 games last season.  Both without any goals or assists.  Hard to believe he will start.  £4.5m in FPL.  Here’s a Leicester Mercury article on the transfer
