Player Suggestions

Liverpool – Their fixtures are getting harder and we’re entering into Champions League rotation time but Alexander Arnold at £5.0m is great value for me considering he’s in arguably the best defence.  Gomez at £5.1m is also great value if you can bank on him keeping his place when Lovren returns.  Given his form he’ll be hard to displace

Man City – They still have reasonably good fixtures.  The injury to Mendy, who’s the obvious pick, is the tricky one.  Otherwise, I would take a risk with Laporte although I would be worried if he starts in the UCL tonight v Lyon

Chelsea – the only player to get here is Alonso.  Shouldn’t play in the Europa which will help him keep his place

Man Utd – Shaw is the obvious pick if he gets back into the side.  Otherwise a gamble on Lindelof at £4.9m who’s great value.  Again if he plays tonight in the UCL that may spook me.

Leicester – They were shambolic against Bournemouth and there’s no one safe in the lineup at £4.5m which is my price for them.  However, they do have good fixtures and an attacking force in Pereira.  Unfortunately, a poor performance against Bournemouth means Puel could turn to another option.  Chilwell is the alternative.  Also £5.0m

Rotation pairs

See our pre-season article on rotation pairs

I still think the best pair is Wolves and Palace.

Other alternatives with some good fixtures are Bournemouth and Palace and after this week Cardiff and Watford
