1. The overall average finishing position of the top 10 managers is 2,943
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 years (ie 30 times playing)
3. 9 of the 10 have finished in the top 1,000
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
An good week for the top 10 FPL managers. 8 of the 10 had green arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW33 was 60 compared to the average of 46. Thats 14 points and 30% above the average score. The high score of the 10 was 69. The low score was 46. An average spread of 23 for an average scoring gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a small improvement of rank to 95k compared to the last gameweek of 102k. An average rank improvement of 7k. The best rank is less than 100 and the lowest 359k. A couple of scores are distorting the average. If you calculated the median rank then that improved slightly to 27k compared to 35k last gameweek. An improvement of rank of 8k. At the moment 6 have overall ranks inside 100k. 2 are inside the top 10k.
The average value sees a slight improvement to £105.8m up from £105.6m in the last gameweek
If you’re interested my score was ok at 59. I had a higher score than only 3 of the managers. My overall rank is now 65k compared to 73k last gameweek. A improvement of rank of 8k. I’m ahead of 4 of the top 10 managers. My team value is low in comparison at £102.6m. A slight improvement compared to the last gameweek at £102.3m. My total score is 1814 points.

FOCUS ON 1 MANAGERS TEAM
Again we focus on the managers team who last season finished the highest of my then top 10 FPL managers ending up in 1,400th position. This manager is the closest thing to a fantasy football celebrity there is due to his consistent results so we’ll keep an eye on him.
Another ordinary week. He still has a 19k overall rank though. A worsening of rank of 4k from the last gameweek of 15k. His total points are 1, 864 after a poor score of 47 this gameweek. Just to give you a bit of context his last 3 years overall rankings have been 1,450, 277 and 90.
THE HIGHEST SCORING AND LOWEST SCORING MANAGERS IN GW33
Highest scorer
The highest scorer was 69. He’s now ranked around 800. His team value is an incredible £108.4m
Lowest scorer
A low score of 46 sees this manager fall to 112k overall. If you’re well ahead of him and question his ability then look at this. His last 3 years overall ranks were 6,162/ 930 and 3,391. In the 2012/13 season prior to that he finished 80th. This guy knows what he’s doing. However 50/50 calls and the odd bad decision (seen in hindsight often) can cost you dearly
Defence, captain and 1 or 2 attacking players are the areas that make a difference in any given week. This week it wasn’t defence as the lowest scoring team actually came out in front by 3 points. However 17 of the 23 points came from the captain decision (12 points) and Sanchez over Hazard 5 points.

Here’s a team to represent the top 10 managers. This time I’ve ignored my team value and just shown you the most popular players. It’s value is unobtainable at around £112m
The core players who are in more than 50% of the 10 managers teams are Lukaku, Kane, Alli, Zaha, Valencia and Alonso and Pickford
If you cross reference this with the top 10k managers with players over 50% then by that Lukaku and Alli are essential.
