Wildcard

You may have been following the various iterations of my Wildcard team over the week.  Here’s a link to the last article.  I haven’t changed it since last night so firstly here it is again:

The only real debate I’ve had today is to whether take Yoshida out and gamble that Trippier will get some gametime over the reports that Poch and Walker have had a disagreement.  I decided that was a bit too speculative.

The other is to put Pedro in for Capoue by downgrading Gabbiadini to Anicehbe.  I decided to stay with it due to nervousness over Pedro’s gametime although that still exists with Gabbiadini too.

The bench doesn’t look very strong which is disappointing.

Team selection

It’s disappointing to have one of the double gameweek players on the bench but it didn’t make sense to have either Alonso or one of the attacking players on the bench so I’ve kept him there.  Stephens was as much about budget and lack of alternatives as anything else.  I did think of Kone or a Watford defender or Evans of WBA but didn’t seem worth the change.

Capoue and Holgate were a bit easier to select as was the GK choice.

Captain choice

Easy decision with Sanchez captain.  There will be a captain article too though albeit a shortened one
