Here’s our fantasy premier league DGW37 captain choice article where we look at a number of ways of assessing the best captain pick for the gameweek. As usual we look at the fixtures, the bookies odds, the FPL advice site polls and the FFGeek choice.

There’s summary at the end if all the analysis bores you. I won’t be offended!
The fixtures
Here’s the fixtures for DGW37:
Here’s 4 double gameweek teams with their odds to win with £1 invested:
Man City (Leicester H and WBA h ) – £1.25 & £1.16 = £2.41
Chelsea (WBA A and Watford H) – £1.36 & 1.18 = £2.54
Arsenal ( Stoke A and Sunderland H) – £1.72 & 1.12 = £2.84
Spurs (Man Utd H and Leicester A) – £1.70 & £1.61 = £3.31
The bookies odds
Here we look at one of the bookies anytime goal scoring odds for the attacking players. I’ve tried to only put players in who have some gametime security. It’s the return for £1 invested. Odds are as of Friday and remember they assume the player starts and don’t count assist potential.
At the moment there are no anytime GS odds for game 2 so these odds are just for game 1. I’ve just added the match odds in brackets for the 2nd game.
I’ve only considered double gameweek players
£1.61 – Aguero, Jesus (both £1.16 to win game 2)
£1.73 – Costa (£1.18 to win game 2)
£1.90 – Sanchez (£1.12 to win game 2)
£2.10 – Hazard (£1.18 to win game 2)
£2.15 – Sane (£1.16 to win game 2) , Kane (£1.61 to win game 2)
£2.30 – Sterling (£1.16 to win game 2) , Gabbiadini (£2.62 to win game 2)
£2.45 – Pedro (£1.18 to win game 2)
£2.60 – De Bruyne (£1.16 to win game 2)
£2.70 – Ozil (£1.12 to win game 2)
The FPL advice site Polls
The FFGeek poll first. It’s worth noting it was only set on Thursday morning after the games ended so full information was available on voting. It does mean there are limited numbers of votes. I don’t believe the other sites did this
Firstly here’s the FFGeek poll.
Here’s the summary of the other main advice polls.
It’s worth noting that site 1 is the site with the most traffic
So mixed results
Captain metrics
The double gameweek means this doesn’t really work.
The top 10 FPL managers and the best social media accounts
I only have access to 1 manager and he’s going Sanchez. Interestingly out of all the good social media accounts Sanchez is a pretty unanimous vote
The FFGeek choice
Unfortunately the Friday deadline has left me short of time again. So a decison has been made on less information than I would have liked. I am however changing my captain pick to Sanchez. Aguero coming back into training has just left me a little spooked on the effect it could have on Jesus’s minutes
Sorry for the sort article but time is nearly up
