fantasy premier league double gameweek 37 – the bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s my fantasy premier league double gameweek 37 bandwagons and sinking ships.  That is the 5 most transferred in and the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek.

The bandwagons

Yaya Toure

Unsurprisingly he’s top of the transferred in list after the season he’s had and the goal and assist in his display away to Palace.  He reminded us that he can score from open play and it’s not just pens.  Has a DGW37 coming up with excellent fixtures. In good form too.  Since his hat trick in DGW31 He’s got 3 goals and an assist in his 3 games.   For me he’s a buy.  Typically most people would have  either have Aguero or Dzeko and maybe Nasri at the moment and maybe a defender for City.  Given the fixtures they are worth 3 players.  I personally would go for YYT over a defender at the moment and he’s definitely a buy for me.  Will have pens when Aguero is off the field.  Aguero has managed 78 minutes max so far on his return.

Everton (A)  DGW37
Aston Villa (H)  DGW37
West Ham (H)

Rooney

With United’s good  fixtures and Rooney having pens and a good share of set pieces then he looks an essential buy for DGW37.  The sudden fitness of RVP could cause an issue.  It will probably mean he will lose pens and will drop deeper.  However there’s no guarantee RVP will start at all so in my mind he’s still essential.  2 goals against Norwich followed 4 goals in 4 games from Rooney

Sunderland (H)
Hull City (H)
Southampton (A)

Mata

2 goals against Norwich made it 5 goals and 2 assists in 4 games.  Played as a support striker against Norwich when coming off the bench.  Hard to believe he wont start its just where is the question.  RVP could also move him to the flank.  Despite the good recent returns he’s a bit of a risk positionally for the DGW37.  However if you’re looking for an additional attacking Man Utd player then Mata is really the only other option.  I personally think he’s worth the risk but there is risk.

Sunderland (H)
Hull City (H)
Southampton (A)

Wickham

Incredibally 5 goals and an assist in 3 games.  Probably the best cheapie striker option at the moment for DGW37 if you’re planning to invest in your midfield rather than the forward line.  It’s just who of Rooney Aguero/Dzeko and Suarez are you going to leave out?

Man Utd (A)  DGW37
West Brom (H)  DGW37
Swansea (H)

Evra

Probably the safest United defender to play 2 games over DGW37.  Good fixtures, it’s just the price thats the negative aspect.  If you’ve got the cash and the transfers then it’s worth the buy

Everton (A) DGW37
Aston Villa (H) DGW37
West Ham (H)

The sinking ships

Lukaku

A natural sale considering it’s just an assist in his last 4 games and no DGW37.  With Aguero and Rooney to buy and Suarez a sensible hold then he’s a natural sacrifice.

Man City (H)
Hull City (A)

Gerrard

A similar situation to Lukaku in that he’s a sacrifice for the likes of YYT, Mata and Nasri.  Only an assist in his last 3 games also helps the case

Crystal Palace (A)
Newcastle (H)

Suarez

With Newcastle the last home game it’s a tough call to drop Suarez for anyone.  His blank against Chelsea was his first blank after 9 consecutive games of returning.  I’m still a hold

Crystal Palace (A)
Newcastle (H)

Coleman

With no DGW37 and a difficult game in GW37 against City he is a natural swap for Evra or Kompany/Zabaleta if you have the transfers.

Man City (H)
Hull City (A)

Mirallas

Out injured for the season.  A definite sell

Man City (H)
Hull City (A)
