With Liverpool wining the FA Cup quarter final replay they had their GW33 fixture postponed for their FA Cup semi final and the postponed Hull v Liverpool fixture is now confirmed in GW34. This adds to Chelsea and Leicester who also have a DGW. We look at the DGW34 fixtures for all 4 teams and then their fixtures to the end of the season plus some player suggestions
fantasy premier league double gameweeks – DGW34 for Liverpool and Hull
4 teams have a DGW34 Chelsea and Leicester who don’t have a blank GW33 and Hull and Liverpool who do have a blank GW33. Lets look at the 4 teams in more detail.
Chelsea
DGW34 – Arsenal (a), Leicester (a)
Fixtures to the end of the season:
QPR (A)
GW33 Man Utd (H)
DGW34 Arsenal (A)
DGW34 Leicester (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Liverpool (H)
West Brom (A)
Sunderland (H)
Player suggestions: Ivanovic/Terry, Hazard. Difficult to pick another as Costa is an injury doubt and other players are rotated
A double gameweek without 3 Chelsea players seems a terrible waste but it’s difficult to add another to a defender and Hazard. Fabregas is one option but 1 assist in his last 6 isn’t inspiring. Can you trust Willian and Oscar to play both games. Thats doubtful.
Leicester
DGW34 – Burnley (a) Chelsea (h)
Fixtures to the end of the season:
West Brom (A)
GW33 Swansea (H)
DGW34 Burnley (A)
DGW34 Chelsea (H)
Newcastle (H)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
QPR (H)
Player suggestions: It’s difficult to suggest anyone here due to rotation and form. Maybe Schlupp as a £4.5m defender and Nugent as a cheapie forward at £4.9m
Liverpool
DGW34 – WBA (a) Hull (a)
Fixtures to the end of the season:
Newcastle (H)
– Gameweek 33 –
West Brom (A)
Hull (A)
QPR (H)
Chelsea (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Stoke (A)
Player suggestions: Moreno/Skrtel/Mignolet, Sterling/Coutinho/Henderson, Sturridge
Reasonable fixtures. However everyone has some drawbacks. In defence Skrtel is probably the safest pick and will be back from suspension but he’s expensive at £5.9m. Moreno has attacking potential and is cheaper at £5.3m but is rotatable. Mignolet is an expensive GK option at £5.3m given the cheap alternatives around but is value in comparison to the rest of the Liverpool defensive options. Coutinho has been inconsistent, has little shooting stats and only has 1 assist in his last 4. Sterling has positional risk often being shunted wide. Henderson has shown great form and has pens but doesn’t play in a very advanced position and that does come with risk although Ramsey and YYT have made a mockery of that risk last season. 2 goals and an assist in his last 4 isn’t too bad from Sturridge but does he have injury concerns and will he play 90 minutes in both games?
Hull
DGW34 – C Palace (a) Liverpool (h)
Fixtures to the end of the season:
Southampton (A)
– Gameweek 33 –
DGW34 Crystal Palace (A)
DGW34 Liverpool (H)
Arsenal (H)
Burnley (H)
Spurs (A)
Man Utd (H)
Player suggestions: Very little especially as the fixtures aren’t that great. Maybe Bruce as a cheapie £4.0m defender although thats questionable given the fixtures. No real midfield option. Maybe Hernandez £6.6m as a forward. He started the last 2 and scored 1 but he’s struggled all season. N’Doye at £5.5m started on fire with 3 goals and 1 assist in his first 5. However it’s 3 consecutive blanks since then. There’s little in the way of underlying stats to give you comfort though on both forwards.
Thats a brief overview as it stands and gives you a start for your forward planning. More to come before DGW34
