Fantasy Premier League, fixture ease schedule

Here’s our fantasy premier league fixture analysis GW16 article where we look at the teams with the best attacking fixtures from GW16 over a 3 and 6 gameweek period. There’s also some attacking player suggestions with their basic stats and their next 6 fixtures. I’ve also introduced a new element this season where we look for clumps of good fixtures for teams to help you pick out a good time to transfer a player in

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURE ANALYSIS GW16 – THE FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

The team ranked 1 has the best fixtures from an attacking view point over the next 3 weeks. There are an extra columns for the next 6 weeks.

Underneath that there’s a section called fixture clumps. There’s a schedule which identifies each team where a good run of fixtures starts. The fixture run will also have to have a good entry point fixture. I’ve done these up to fixtures starting at GW21 and will update them each week

PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

I normally only give attacking player suggestions for teams that have the best ranked fixtures for the first 3 and the first 6 games which is what I’ve done this week

CHELSEA

3 players for me.

Morata

£10.8m forward Morata has scored 9 goals and 4 assists in 12 games and 2 part games and he’s returned a goal or assist in 7 of those 14 games.

His main risk is around rotation as Conte has talked extensively about the principal but yet to do it as far as Morata is concerned.  Resting Morata away to West Ham would be a risk though

GW15 saw a return to his goal scoring and underlying stats which is a positive after a few ordinary games

Hazard

The £10.8m midfielder, after a slow start, has got 5 goals and an 3 assists in 8 starts and 4 sub appearances. However in the last 6 games started, he has returned a goal or assist in 5 of those games and has been playing as a strike partner to Morata in a 3-5-2 formation. He also has the huge bonus of pens.

Conte kept faith with this formation against Newcastle which is a positive sign for the games against lower placed teams to come.  Also with him being rested for all but 9 minutes of GW14 he should be a lower priority rotation risk.

Fabregas

The £6.9m midfielder is the cheaper option.  The negative about Fabregas is his deeper CM position and his assist based bias.  That has mean’t he has ended up assisting the assister rather than getting FPL points.  That is mitigated to some extent by his set piece responsibility.  However 1 goal and 3 assists in 12 starts and 2 sub appearances plus 3 consecutive blanks to now is hardly a compelling argument.

To get him you need to believe that the improving underlying stats and Chelsea’s good fixtures will bring you a reward at a cheaper price than the above 2 players.

 West Ham (A)
Huddersfield (A)
Southampton (H)
Everton (A)
Brighton (H)
Stoke (H)

CRYSTAL PALACE

Zaha

£6.9m midfielder Zaha is the only real option for me.  Despite Benteke being fit he’s continued playing as a forward . While 3 goals in 9 starts isn’t overwhelming he’s produced good underlying stats in most games.

The underlying stats and his forward position plus the fixtures are the reason to buy.

Loftus Cheek

£4.5m Mid Loftus Cheek for me is the best of he £4.5ms for me and useful off your FPL bench

Bournemouth (H)
Watford (H)
Leicester (A)
Swansea (A)
Arsenal (H)
Man City (H)

LIVERPOOL

3 options here.

Just a reminder first that Klopp has shown and stated that he will rotate and use his squad.

Salah

The £9.9m RW in a front 3 has been the player of the season. He’s started 13 games plus 2 as sub and scored 12 goals and 4 assists including 7 goals in his last 5 games. He’s returned a goal or assist in 11 of those 15 games for an incredible 73% consistency rate. His underlying stats back up these returns and he’s been a goal threat in practically every game.

Should start in GW16 having  been bench for rotation in GW14

Mane

Mane is the £9.4m LW in the Liverpool front 3. He was rested for the GW15 Brighton game.  He’s had various injury issues which have meant he’s only played 7 games and 2 part games. In those games he’s also been consistent, returning in 5 of those 7 games for 4 goals and 3 assists.

His underlying stats are good and show that he’s a goal and assist threat.  After not coming on at all in GW15 that should make him a lower priority for rotation with Klopp although his injury record may mean he’s treated with kid gloves

Coutinho

£8.9m midfielder Coutinho is the otheroption and often sits in the midfield 3 of 4-3-3. However with Mane rested he played in the front 3 against Brighton to rack up a goal and 3 assists.  However he seems to be able to produce returns in either position.  Also has the majority of set piece duties.    His returns of 4 goals and 5 assists in 7 starts have been excellent, helped by bonus points flowing his way with the returns.

His underlying stats are good without being outstanding but he’s always managed to outperform these which makes it less of a negative factor

Everton (H)
West Brom (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Arsenal (A)
Swansea (H)
Leicester (H)

 Arsenal

3 options here:

Lacazette

The £10.3m forward has 2 goals and an assist in his last 4 to make it 8 goals and an assist in 13 starts and 2 sub appearances.  His consistency has been reasonably good returning a goal or assist in 8 of those 15 games.  He does have an issue in that he’s only played 90 minutes twice and only got past 80 minutes 1 more time than those 2.

His underlying stats are good.  Sanchez converting a penalty when he was off the pitch is an unknown on Lacazette’s duties.

Sanchez

The £11.8m midfielder has hugely benefited from a more central position in the 3-4-2-1 formation. He’s in great recent form with 3 goals in his last 4 games.  His underlying stats over that period are also outstanding.

It’s only the cost of £11.8m that is the negative

Ozil

After a slow start blanking in his first 4 it’s now 2 goals and 5 assists in his last 6 starts for the £9.3m midfield creator.  In those 6 games he’s produced some fantastic assist based underlying stats and but also some ordinary ones.

Has good set piece responsibility

Ramsey

The box to box £7.2m midfielder is on a great run of 2 goals and 6 assists in his last 7 games having played 90 minutes in 6 of those games.

Great underlying stats too which is a good check for a player who isn’t routinely advanced

Southampton (A)
West Ham (A)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
West Brom (A)

WATFORD

Richarlison

£6.6m midfielder Richarlison is the only option for me here.  The LW or CAM has been a revelation this season.  In his 14 starts plus 1 sub appearance he’s got 5 goals and 5 assists.  He’s also been very consistent returning a goal or assist in 9 of those 15 games.

His underlying stats show that this is no fluke either.  His only negative is his inability to get bonus points with only 4 so far this season.

Leicester (H)
