Fantasy Premier League, fixture ease schedule

Here’s our fantasy premier league fixture analysis from GW9 article where we look at the teams with the best attacking fixtures from GW9 over a 3 and 6 gameweek period. There’s also some attacking player suggestions with their basic stats and their next 6 fixtures. I’ve also introduced a new element where we look for clumps of good fixtures for teams to help you pick out a good time to transfer a player in

FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

Just to remind you if you don’t remember it from last season. The team ranked 1 has the best fixtures from an attacking view point over the next 3 weeks. There are an extra columns for the next 6 weeks.

I’ve marked in green the teams that have the best fixtures over the first 3 weeks and 6 weeks and but also with a good next fixture. These will be the teams that I will give attacking player suggestions to.

Underneath that I’ve started a new section called fixture clumps. There’s a schedule which identifies each team where a good run of fixtures starts. The fixture run will also have to have a good entry point fixture. I’ve done these up to starting at GW14 and will update them each week

THE SCHEDULE

PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

I normally only give attacking player suggestions for teams that have the best ranked fixtures for the first 3 and the first 6 games. This week I’ve added in Brighton and West Ham who are on the edges of this.

You’ll also notice that the fantasy premier league site has added totals to the player stats so I’ve reverted back to the stat of how many minutes it takes to earn an FPL point.  I think it gives enough width to separate the players making it easier to evaluate them.  The lower the stat the better obviously.

 Stoke

For me the only attacking player to look at for me is £5.6m mid Choupo Moting (Mins per FPL points of 20.3).  He’s only got 2 goals and an assist in 7 starts but he’s shown goal threat, despite blanking,  in most of the games that you’d hope for returns.  That will hopefully will see returns over the good fixtures coming up.  Furthermore in those games he’s been positioned as either a AM or a striker.

Bournemouth (H)
Watford (A)
Leicester (H)
Brighton (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Liverpool (H)

Newcastle

£5.5m Forward Joselu (Mins per FPL pt 20.8) is an option for me.  He’s only got 2 goals in 6 starts and has only produced a decent goal threat in 3/5 good fixtures to date but he is one of the better cheaper striker options and certainly has produced better underlying stats than most

£6.0m Mid Ritchie (mins per FPL pt 23.9) is the set piece man which is a useful person to home in on in the cheaper midfielders.  However it appears that Shelvey could be taking some of that responsibility away. Ritchie’s got 4 assists in his 8 starts but has blanked in his last 4 games.  That with a drop off of underlying stats in the last 3 after a great start and Shelvey muscling in puts a question mark over him at the moment

The price range around £5.1m Mid Atsu (mins per FPL pt 22.5) is a difficult one so finding any midfielder in an atttacking position is a bonus.  Considering the price he does provide a good all round goal and assist threat although is prone to very quiet games.

Crystal Palace (H)
Burnley (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Man Utd (A)
Watford (H)
West Brom (A)

Brighton

£5.7m Mid Pascal Gross (mins per FPL pt 16.1)  is the only option here for me and I have alot of reservations about him despite an excellent record of 2 goals and 3 assists in 8 starts and his position pretty much as a ancillary forward.  Brighton are a defensive team with awful attacking stats and even if he did create good chances for his team mates, which he doesn’t, then who’s going to finish them off?  I think he’s been lucky so far and his returns will drop off.

West Ham (A)
Southampton (H)
Swansea (A)
Stoke (H)
Man Utd (A)
Crystal Palace (H)

Swansea

£5.7m forward Abraham (mins per FPL pt 16.0) for me is a legitimate cheap striker option.  He’s scored 4 goals in 7 games this season. In the games he’s been expected to provide a goal threat he’s done it in virtually them all.  Now with a good run of fixtures he could produce returns if you’re looking save money in your forward line to invest elsewhere.

Leicester (H)
Arsenal (A)
Brighton (H)
Burnley (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Chelsea (A)

West Ham

Considering the attacking options on paper and the money spent West Ham have been a huge attacking disappointment.  The closest player I’ve come to suggesting is £7.0m forward Chicharito  (mins per FPL pt 22.3) who’s scored 3 goals in 8 starts this season.  However that’s on the basis that he plays as a striker.  If you strip out games where he’s been shunted out wide or where someone has got themselves sent off then he has, in the most part, produced a good goal threat.  It is a punt on fixtures though and being played in the right position.

Brighton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Liverpool (H)
Watford (A)
Leicester (H)
Everton (A)
