FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

An introduction

This article assumes that the remaining fixtures without a date set are put into GW37.  However that to some extent isn’t relevant as the schedule measures fixtures in their entirety and does haven’t any inherent positive adjustment for a team having a double gameweek.

However the teams double gameweeks and blank weeks are also marked on the schedule

 The schedule explained

The order of the teams firstly is the best attacking fixtures for GW32-38.

The next 3 columns then identifies positively which teams have a 2 games in 34, a fixture in 35 and a potential DGW37 subject to the fixture postponements going as I expect

Attacking Player suggestions

I’ve chosen 6 teams to give player suggestions on and some basic stats.  Burnley, Swansea, Arsenal, Leicester, Man Utd and Chelsea

Burnley

3 potential players for me.  Barnes, Gudmundsson and Wood.

£5.3m forward Barnes has started the last 12 and pretty much gets to 90 every game.  In total he’s started 16 games plus 13 as sub and scored 6 goals but no assists.  His Points per 90 (“PP90”) is a poor at 3.7.  This isn’t helped by 7 yellow cards which hasn’t helped a paltry 5 bonus points.

£6.2m forward Wood to me is the better striker but having just come back from injury he has yet to start and has been a sub in the last 2 albeit with 2 goals and an assist off the bench v West Ham.  He’s started 11 games plus 6 as sub for 7 goals and 1 assist.  His bonus position is much better with 11 and that’s helped by only the 1 yellow card.  His minutes in GW32 will be crucial to the decision to get him into your team unless you believe the West Ham result will seal his place.

£5.1m Mid Gudmundsson has some set piece responsibility and has been a consistent 90 minute player with 27 starts and 2 sub appearances to his name.  In that time he’s scored 2 goals and got 7 assists. His PP90 is poor at 3.7 not helped by only 2 bonus points.

32 West Brom (A)
33 Watford (A)
34 Leicester (H)
34 Chelsea (H)
35 Stoke (A)
36 Brighton (H)
37 Arsenal (A)
38 Bournemouth (H)

Swansea

I’ve seen some other fixture schedules which rate Swansea low as they do have 3 tricky fixtures.  However they have 5 very good ones which to me make up for that.  However you can make your assessment yourself as they are below.

Only £5.3m forward Jordan Ayew  for me if you’re desperate for Swansea representation.  However he’s suspended until GW34.  He’s started 26 games plus 3 as sub plus the 10 minute sub start in GW30 when he got sent off.  He’s scored 6 goals plus 2 assists.  His PP90 is poor at 3.5 despite a healthy bonus total at this price of 10.

32 Man Utd (A)
33 West Brom (A)
34 Everton (H)
35 Man City (A)
36 Chelsea (H)
37 Bournemouth (A)
37 Southampton (H)
38 Stoke (H)

Arsenal

As Arsenal focus on the Europa League for Champions League qualification then the man who’s ineligible in £10.6m forward Aubameyang is my main choice.  It’s been a mixed start with 5 games, all 90 minutes, for 3 goals and an assist with a PP90 of 5.2.  Hard to get a grip on bonus potential at the moment but one 3 point bonus reward when you’ve returned in 3 of the 5 games played isn’t positive.  However he did have a fantastic record in Germany and Arsenal for their issues can hammer teams at home.

If you wanted to roll the dice on another player £7.7m Mid Mkhitaryan would be my choice mainly due to his lack of minutes when at United.  In his short Arsenal career of 5 games plus 1 as sub he’s scored 1 goal and got 4 assists at a PP90 of 6.8.  Has sub magnet potential only playing 90 minutes in 2 of the 5 starts but that could be fitness buildup.

32 Stoke (H)
33 Southampton (H)
34 Newcastle (A)
35 West Ham (H)
36 Man Utd (A)
37 Burnley (H)
37 Leicester (A)
38 Huddersfield (A)

Leicester

The previous title winning stars here for me of Mahrez and Vardy.

£8.9m Mid Mahrez would be my top pick.  He generally plays 90 and has set piece responsibility.  He’s started 26 games plus 2 as sub and with 10 goals and 11 assists he’s already done the “double double”.  His PP90 of 6.5 is excellent helped by a healthy 18 bonus points

£8.8m forward Vardy has started 29 games and o sub appearances and is also a 90 minute player plus has penalties.  He’s scored 14 goals and 2 assists for a PP90 of 4.8 with a healthy 20 bonus points.

32 Brighton (A)
33 Newcastle (H)
34 Burnley (A)
34 Southampton (H)
35 None
36 Crystal Palace (A)
37 West Ham (H)
37 Arsenal (H)
38 Spurs (A)

Man Utd

With lots of rotation and selection tinkering the only suggestions for me are Lukaku and Sanchez

£11.4m forward Lukaku has started 28 games plus 1 assist for 14 goals and 7 assists at a pretty ordinary PP90 of 5.1.  His bonus is a relatively poor 15 although maybe things are on the up with 5 in his last 3 games.

If you’re going for £11.5m Mid Sanchez then it’s purely on history.  His United start has been a disaster.  He’s started 6 games for 1 goal and 1 assist.  The goal was a rebound from his own missed penalty.  His PP90 is a pathetic 3.1 and he’s yet to earn a bonus point in Utd colours.

32 Swansea (H)
33 Man City (A)
34 West Brom (H)
34 Bournemouth (A)
35 None
36 Arsenal (H)
37 Brighton (A)
37 West Ham (A)
38 Watford (H)

Chelsea

With uncertainty over the strikers roles and minutes there’s just Hazard and Willian for me

£10.6m Hazard has started 22 games plus 4 as sub for 11 goals and 5 assists.  His remarkable ability to get bonus with 23 to date has given him an excellent PP90 of 7.2.  The penalty responsibility has also helped.  Probably been the most productive as a support striker or on the left rather than a false 9.

£7.1m Willian has had mixed pitch time as you can see from his 16 starts plus 13 sub appearances.  However he has started the last 3 although how long he stays on the pitch can be a bit variable. When on the pitch he’s been excellent for 6 goals and 7 assists at a PP90 of 7.1.  A respectable 13 bonus points too.

32 Spurs (H)
33 West Ham (H)
34 Southampton (A)
34 Burnley (A)
35 None
36 Swansea (A)
37 Liverpool (H)
37 Huddersfield (H)
38 Newcastle (A)
