Here’s a discussion re the options for the fantasy premier league captain this week covering RVP, Suarez, Tevez and Berba

RVP

“There is a doubt about Wayne, but Robin should be fit,” .  Thats SAF in the Telegraph.  You cant help but think that its all an international friendly ruse.  im thinking he will play.

Do we even need to do the analysis.  This is a guy who’s returned in every game he’s started.  He’s in the shooting stats top 10 in the last 6 games and in the season stats.  He’s one of the few who features in the chances created top 10 for strikers.  Lets not underestimate Norwich though.  Take out the Liverpool game and this is a team with 3 clean sheets out of 4 at home and with only 1 goal conceded in those 4.  Apart from Stoke they have the best statistical defence outside the elite teams.  They are no mugs.  This should actually help in a funny way giving SAF much more incentive for RVP to start especially with Rooney looking more of a doubt.

In summary I think he will play and he’s always a captain option

Suarez

Returns of 8,9 and 9 in his last 3.  He’s in great form.  He’s top of the shooting stats and top of chances created.  He now seems to be able to finish as well as get in positions.  Whats he like against captain qualifying teams?

The Wigan defence overall is a mid table sort of defence so no where near as bad as people think.  However away from home they are one of the best teams statistically although the Utd game show they can get a hiding.

I think Suarez though is a real captain option

Tevez

Didn’t play for Argentina but Aguero did.  They are pretty certain to go out of the Champs league but Mancini will still pick his best team so I’m thinking Aguero will be rested and Tevez will start.

Has had 2 non returning games after returning 4 games on the trot.  So what’s his record against captain qualifying teams like?

Tevez is one of the best flat track bullys

Vill’s defence is a sort of mid table side overall and a lower mid table away

Tevez is a definite captain option for me.

Berba

No doubts about him playing and in great form 6 5 and 16 in the last 3.

He has a good record in captain qiualifying games

RDG A 6

Dont be fooled by what you read and the scores.  The Sunderland defence is hopeless away, the worst statistically in the league in my view and it only performs at home where its one of the better defences

Berba is a great captain option
