Fantasy premier league game week 5 – Saturdays games – the immediate reaction

various

Here’s the fantasy premier league immediate reaction to the remaining games today with the usual lineup, match and player analysis

Southampton 4 Villa 1

“ones to watch” players Lambert Lallana Puncheon and Clyne were all on the fantasy premier league points sheet as they ran riot in the 2nd half to win 4-1.  Saints have got great fixtures being 3rd in the fixture ease schedule. For Saints Yoshida replaced Hooiveld and new signing Ramirez, who in was the centre of the 3,  in a 4-2-3-1 also came in to the side.  For Villa Benteke came in for Weiman and I think for the first time ever I have predicted a Paul Lambert side. Possession was equal but saints were clear winners on shots.  Lambert was sensational along with Lallana.

Bent Lambert and Puncheon lead the way on shooting stats.  Lallana and Ramirez led the way on chances created.

Wigan 1 Fulham 2

Wigan lined up as I expected except for Gomez coming in for McArthur,  presumably to give more of an attacking emphasis.  Fulham were also as I expected with Baird coming in for the injured Diarra.

Despite the score Wigan dominated possession  by 62% and shots by 18/9 to 12/9.  Fantasy premier league owners of Fulham defensive assets , me included, were disappointed when Wigan scored in stoppage time to ruin the clean sheet.

Berba lead the shot stats by an absolute country mile with Kone and Gomez next up and fantasy premier league owners must be licking their lips at the prospect of Southampton Villa and Reading after they navigate the tricky match of City next.

West Brom 1 Reading 0

WBA lined up a little different than I expected. 2 surprising starts, Lukaku came in for Long and Gera lined up with Dorrans on the bench.  Reid didnt make it and Jones held his place.  Brunt also started.  I’ve been talking up Lukaku and he finally started and scored the winner.  His underlying shooting stas weren’t that spectacular though.

Reading were only different to my line up prediction in 1 respect with Le Fondre in and Karacan on the bench.

No one had any shooting stats of note.  Brunt as he can do led the way in chances created.

West Ham 1 Sunderland 1

West Hams line up was as expected except Taylor held his place over Jarvis.

Sunderland lined up as expected with bramble coming in for the inured Cuellar and effectively Colback for johnson with Larsson going to the flank..

You know the game must have been a total  West Ham thumping, in everything but the score, when the possession for a big Sam team was 61% and the shooting 20/11 to 4/2

The shooting stats were monstered by Nolan.  He was streets ahead of everyone.  Cole, Collins and Fletcher also featured.

Mark Noble lead the chances created.
