Here’s the latest  article reviewing 10 top FPL managers and how they did in FPL gameweek 11.   As you would have heard before if you’ve seen the article, these aren’t just managers successful now but managers who have been successful for the last 3 years. The 10 managers have never finished outside the top 10,000 in the last 3 years. These articles give you another perspective apart from mine. They should also give you confidence if theyre holding or selling a player when you are.

First off all I’ll remind you of the new managers stats. Then we’ll look at team structure and then the transfers made to get an insight into their thinking. There’s also a team at the end  to summarise the position.

Top 10 FPL managers stats:

1. Their averaging finishing position over the last 3 years has been 2,353

2. The 10 FPL managers have never been outside the top 10,000 in the last 3 years. Thats 30 times playing

3.  5/10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 years

4.  4/10 have finished in the top 100 in the last 3 years

GW11 average score and rank

The GW10 average score was 71  against an average of  51 points.  Thats 20 points and 39% higher
The top 10 FPL managers average rank at the moment is 56,000 up from 59,000  last week.  The highest is approximately 200  and the lowest 450k.  Only 2 though are lower ranked than 15k

The average team value is £104.3 up from £104.0 last week

GK/DEFS by player

Chambers is owned by 7/10 top FPL managers

Baines is owned by 6/10 FPL managers

Moore and Hutton are owned by 4/10 of the FPL managers
Foster, Clyne and Bertrand are owned by 3/10 of the FPL managers

GK/DEFs by team

Southampton  have 8 players in the 10 FPL managers teams
Arsenal and WBA have 7 players in the 10 FPL managers teams
Villa and Everton  have 6 players in the 10 FPL managers teams

Leicester have 5 players in the 10 FPL managers teams

Midfielders

Sigurdsson and Fabregas are in 7/10 FPL managers teams
Di Maria is in 6/10 FPL managers teams
Sanchez and Boyd are in 5/10 FPL managers teams
Tadic is  in 4/10 FPL managers teams

Forwards

Aguero is owned by 9/10 FPL managers teams

Costa is owned by 7/10 FPL managers

Welbeck is owned by 4/10 FPL managers teams

Pelle and Sakho is owned by 3/10 FPL managers teams

GW11 transfers

The most transferred in players were:

Downing  x 3

Sanchez x 3

Sakho x 2

The most transferred out were:

Sterling x 5

Welbeck x 2

Tadic x 2

The most common transfers were:

Sterling to Downing  x 3

Tadic to Sanchez x 2

No other transfers were more than once

Despite the European  games the average transfer time was Monday 3rd November

GW11 Captain choice

Aguero was captained 7 times

Pelle, Costa and Di Maria were captained once

2/10 of the FPL managers took a 4 point hit.

What was the most popular formation?

3-4-3 was used 9 times
3-5-2 was used once

How many have used their wildcard?

6 the FPL managers used their wildcard now.  1 of the managers used it in this round

Pelle, Tadic and Siggy are the only players in the 10 FPL managers teams over £6.0m that are outside the top 4 challenging teams of Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs and Man Utd.

In defence

0/10 FPL managers had 0 defenders from the top 7 teams as I define them

3/10 FPL managers had 1 defender from the top 7 teams

7/10 FPL managers had 2 defenders from the top 7 teams

In midfield

Whether they played 5 or 4 or  they all played proper midfielders with a cheap reserve apart from 1 team that had 2 cheap rotating midfielders.

The forwards

4 teams  had 1 forward over £10m.  2 had 2 mid priced forwards as well.  eg Pelle or Welbeck 2 had 2 cheap forwards

6 teams had 2 forwards over £10m.  3 had a mid priced forward as a 3rd. 3 had a cheap forward as a 3rd
