As I said above there’s a table where I’ve ranked the players but there’s a load of stats to help you make your own decision.  There’s also a key below the table to explain the stats and then some narrative on the player plus the next 6 fixtures.

Aguero

Do I really need to say anything?  Rotation can be the only issue but dare Pellegrini need to leave him out at the moment?  Oh and btw, has pens

Everton (H)
Leicester (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
West Brom (A)
Burnley (H)
Sunderland (H)

Costa

Consistent but recent form has seen diminished returns.  Fixtures and underlying stats haven’t dropped off though and after the midweek off will be refreshed. 50% ownership makes him a dangerous player to sell

Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Southampton (A)
Spurs (A)

Austin

5 goals and 2 assists in his last 7 games.  Austin has really responded to the premier league challenge given some good fixtures.Good solid shooting stats and good fixtures still to come.  QPR having no defensive merit means they are forced to attack which is suiting him. If you’re ever going to buy home to Burnley next is the time to do it

Burnley (H)
Everton (A)
West Brom (H)
Arsenal (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Swansea (H)

Bony

2 goals and an assist in his last 3 and returns in all 3 games shows how good his current form is.  Unlucky against QPR as it could have been so much more.  Consistently good underlying shooting and creating chances stats.  Really good fixtures to come although he can score against anyone.  Also has pens.

West Ham (A)
Spurs (H)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Liverpool (A)
QPR (A)

Sakho

Back in the squad but could mean he will start from the bench rather than in the side which is the big risk.  Scored in 6 consecutive games before Guzan had such an amazing performance in the 0-0 against West Ham.  To put it in context only Aguero has more points in his last 4 games.  Great consistency, great underlying shooting stats.  The negatives are whether he will start coming back from injury and whether he’s played enough games to be sure this great start will continue.  Especially good next 3 fixtures to come

Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)
Leicester (H)
Chelsea (A)
Arsenal (H)
West Brom (H)

Rooney

An injury doubt as I write this.  With Falcao back and Mata playing well it’s a little questionable what his position will be.  You’re relying on his exceptional striking form overcoming the other selection issues.  2 goals in his last 2 games.  Has been creating chances but midfield and CAM position has mean little shooting stats.  Is a proven premier league goal scorer.  Southampton away maybe a watch and see game.

Southampton (A)
Liverpool (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Newcastle (H)
Spurs (A)
Stoke (A)

Lukaku

2 goals in his last games is reasonable form but although Lukaku is consistent he fails to notch up the big scores.  Fairly ordinary underlying stats.  Fixtures are mixed

Man City (A)
QPR (H)
Southampton (A)
Stoke (H)
Newcastle (A)
Hull (A)

Giroud

Just come back from a long injury and started off the bench in midweek.  Little unsure whether he will start in this game or the Champions league or both or neither?  Proven goal scorer if a little in the Welbeck mode of not being so clinical.  Fixtures are mixed

Stoke (A)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (A)
QPR (H)
West Ham (A)
Southampton (A)

Benteke

Similar position to Giroud if with better fixtures.  Has a  good premier league scoring record and played 90 minutes and scored against Palace midweek.  Given Villas lack of goal scoring it’s hard to see he won’t start again.  There couldn’t be a better time to do it than home to Leicester

Leicester (H)
West Brom (A)
Man Utd (H)
Swansea (A)
Sunderland (H)
Crystal Palace (H)

Kane

2 goals and an assist in his last 5 games shows continuing good form and another option to invest in your midfield.  Pretty ordinary underlying shooting and creating chances stats to say the least .  Good fixtures though, especially the next 4 and Palace at home is a good time to buy

Crystal Palace (H)
Swansea (A)
Burnley (H)
Leicester (A)
Man Utd (H)
Chelsea (H)
