1 goal: Some goal and assist threat. Played in an advanced position. Big direct free kick threat which was how his goal was scored. All set pieces.
Lukaku
Blanked. Some goal and assist threat. 2 good chances were deflected 1 of which hit the bar
Barkley
1 goal. Played centrally in an advanced position. Often found pockets of space. Got into the box to score the equalising header. Big goal threat
Mirallas
1 assist. Good goal threat from an advanced position
Defences
After such a good defensive performance against Leicester, Everton were poor defensively as were Hull
CHELSEA 4 STOKE 2
Costa
1 goal. Big goal threat. No assist threat. Bullied Martins Indi for the goal
Hazard
1 assist. Very advanced position, limited goal threat but big assist threat. Nice touch assist for Willian.
Willian
2 goals. Very advanced. Big goal threat and ruthless finishing. Will have to oust Pedro to get into the team though
Fabregas
2 assists. Played in the CM role. Big assist threat including an interception for the Willian assist.. No goal threat. On set pieces.
Allen
Blanked. Played deep. No attacking threat whatsoever.
Defences
Stoke didn’t have too many chances. They just finished what they had. Stoke were under constant pressure especially in the 2nd half.
MAN UTD 2 MIDDLESBOROUGH 1
Ibrahimovic
1 assist. Big goal threat with a number of chances although in this game less assist threat. Robbed of a perfectly good goal. How he didn’t get 2 or 3 is beyond me.
Mkhitaryan
Blanked. Started and played the full 90 minutes. Advanced position. Reasonable goal threat and created a number of chances for others.
Negredo
1 assist. Nice headed assist for the goal. No goal threat but created a few chances
Pogba
1 goal. CM box to box position. Scored the winner and big goal and assist threat. Hit the post.
Defences
Middlesboro had few chances. The Middlesboro defence was totally under siege
LIVERPOOL 1 MAN CITY 0
I’m going to preface this by saying that this game saw defences rule and no team had many chances. Very scrappy
Lallana
1 assist. Started in the front 3 but later moved back. The best attacking player but that wasn’t saying much
Firmino
Blanked. Started as a striker but moved left when Origi came on
Aguero
Blanked. Totally isolated. Didn’t even get a penalty area touch.
De Bruyne
Blanked. Did play centrally for a while and advanced but was poor. Gave the ball away too much
Sterling
Blanked. Advanced wide right. Was terrible
Yaya Toure
Blanked. Too deep to have any influence
SWANSEA 0 BOURNEMOUTH 3
Stanislas
1 assist. Played wide right although drifted in. Good goal threat and some assist threat.
Sigurdsson
Blanked. Alot of shooting from distance and set pieces but not alot of threat. Had set pieces.
Defences
Swansea just give away 1 clear cut chance after another and shot themselves in the foot. The first goal was a total joke. Bournemouth were quite leaky too
BURNLEY 4 SUNDERLAND 1
Gray
3 goals. Gifted 3 goals by ridiculous goalkeeping and terrible defending. Had a ton of chances
Defoe
1 goal. Not many chances but doesn’t need many. Ruthless finish
Anichebe
Blanked. Injured halfway through game. no attacking output at all
Defences
Burnley defended well. Sunderland were under siege and terrible. Laughable goalkeeping and defending
Southampton 1 WBA 2
Phillips
1 goal and 1 assist. Advanced central position. Didn’t have many goal or assist chances but finished those he did have.
Chadli
Blanked. Subbed early in the 2nd half after doing nothing
Rondon
Blanked. Came off the subs bench for 20 mins. No output except getting Van Djik sent off
Rodriguez
Blanked. Also came on as a sub
Defences
A game of few chances as both defences played well.
LEICESTER 1 WEST HAM 0
Payet
Blanked. Advanced midfield position. Alot of long range shooting but surprisingly didn’t create many chances. Primary set piece responsibility.
Antonio
Blanked. Again played very advanced on the right and had a ton of chances. Unlucky not to score including hitting the bar and a one on one with the keeper when he passed instead of shooting. No assist threat
Carroll
Blanked. Many chances to score including 1 clear header but little assist threat
Defences
Neither were very secure and didn’t enhance their reputations as a very open game of many opportunities
