The Bandwagons

These are the 5 most transferred in players so far in the gameweek in order

Aguero

Only Sanchez is higher in the points per game stakes than the £12.4m Man City forward.  The best underlying shooting stats and only Costa has more goals.  This is despite the fact that Aguero has only started 12 games.  Just coming back from injury and played 24 minutes against Everton.  Didn’t look particularly fit but hard to ignore the quality and the domination he could easily make of the captain choice.  Very difficult next 2 fixtures

Arsenal (H)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)
Stoke (A)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (A)

Kane

Another quality goal for the £5.8m Tottenham forward against Crystal Palace continues the run of 6 goals and 3 assists in his last 6 games only not returning in 1 of those 6 games.  Doesn’t really have much in the way of underlying stats but this hasn’t stopped his scoring.  4 good fixtures sandwhiched around Arsenal and Liverpool.

Sunderland (H)
West Brom (A)
Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (A)
West Ham (H)
QPR (A)

Sanchez

It’s hard to believe anyone doesn’t own the £11.4m Arsenal midfielder.  Fantastic 2 goal and 1 assist 1 man performance against Stoke.  It’s now 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 4 and as you may have seen from my captain article he’s deadly at home.  Good consistency as well and returning a goal or assist in 60% of his games. Probably the best underlying shooting and creating chances stats of any midfielder.   Owned by 10/10 of the top FPL managers I follow.  Mixed fixtures with Man City next.

Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Spurs (A)
Leicester (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Everton (H)

Chadli

For the £6.5m Tottenham midfielder, since getting back into the team it’s 5 games with 1 goal and 5 assists, returning in 4/5 games.  Playing in a very advanced position showed what he can do in the scintillating performance against Chelsea.  Only Sanchez has better shooting stats although despite the assists recently Chadli doesn’t really create chances for others.  One question is whther in such an inconsistent team as Spurs whether you want Kane and Chadli.  Very good returns and 56% consistency this season though and good price.  As I said for Kane 4 good fixtures sandwhiched around Arsenal and Liverpool.

Sunderland (H)
West Brom (A)
Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (A)
West Ham (H)
QPR (A)

Downing

An assist finally finished the West Ham £6.5m midfielders run of 3 games without a return and the bonus king darling also got 2 points added to that.  Reasonable consistency at 50% over the season and does have a good CAM position although the 3-5-2 isn’t quite as good as being at the tip of the diamond as he has been.  Good set piece representation.  Does have reasonable creating chances stats although nothing in the way of shooting and relies in the main of long range efforts.  Hull next is an attraction although the next 4 are tricky

Hull (H)
Liverpool (A)
Man Utd (H)
Southampton (A)
Spurs (A)
Crystal Palace (H)

The Sinking Ships

These are the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek in order

Sigurdsson

No return in his last 2 for the Swansea £6.8m midfielder followed 2 consecutive returns.  Over the season though he’s been pretty consistent at 50% returning. However has lost his main beneficiary of assists in Bony probably forever.  However the game against West Ham from his and Gomis’ point of view was pretty encouraging.  In fact he was robbed of an assist if you saw the goal.  Also has domination of set pieces and an excellent CAM position.  2 best defences next though which will be the reason for sales

Chelsea (H)
Southampton (A)
Sunderland (H)
West Brom (A)
Man Utd (H)
Burnley (A)

Rooney

3 games now without a return for the £10.8m Man Utd forward playing in midfield has shown that maybe even he can’t turn around that disadvantage.  Didn’t have a shot against Southampton and RWB Valencia had a higher average position.  Looks like Di Maria is even more likely to play striker.  No shooting stats but does create chances.  Has some set piece representation.  Very good fixtures are the risk of selling

QPR (A)
Leicester (H)
West Ham (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)
Sunderland (H)

Sterling

The FPL owners of the £8.4m Liverpool midfielder can’t have been cheered up by seeing him tweet picture of himself on holiday in Jamaica.  1 goal and 1 assist in his last 6 games despite playing striker really isn’t what you would expect especially with the likes of Leicester and Burnley involved in that run.  Does have very good underlying stats it’s just he’s had a case of the Welbecks and not being able to put the ball into the net.  2 good fixtures next may delay some

Aston Villa (A)
West Ham (H)
Everton (A)
Spurs (H)
Southampton (A)
Man City (H)

Austin

The Costa. Aguero, Kane front line has meant no room for  the £6.4m QPR forward and as you will see from the fixtures the timing of a sale could be worse.  Ok underlying stats and has pens.  1 goal in his last 3 hasn’t helped.

Man Utd (H)
Stoke (A)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Hull (A)
Spurs (H)

Chambers

The £5.0m Arsenal RB/CB missed out on even the bench with illness against Stoke.  Not sure about selling though now that Debuchy is injured with a dislocated shoulder although given Wengers desire to rest him it’s possible Bellerin could take his place as an alternative.  A good clean sheet though from Arsenal and I’m a believer that the underlying stats show they can improve this total during the remaining part of the season.  Man City next though gives a chance to see who will be picked before needing to make a decision

Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Spurs (A)
Leicester (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Everton (H)
