As I said above there’s a table where I’ve ranked the players but there’s a load of stats to help you make your own decision.  There’s also a key below the table to explain the stats and then some narrative (a little brief due to time pressures) on the player plus the next 6 fixtures.

Aguero

I dare you not to have him in your team with Man City at home to Hull when every man and his dog will have him captain.  Has pens as if he needed them

Hull (H)
Stoke (A)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (A)
Leicester (H)
Burnley (A)

Giroud

In good form, good fixtures and even starting to look consistent.  With a creative cast behind him that strikers dream of.

Spurs (A)
Leicester (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Everton (H)
QPR (A)
West Ham (H)

Kane

Is the guy actually fixture proof?  Ripped through the Pulis inspired defence after terrorising the best defence in the league in Chelsea.  Incedible form, great consistency.  Fixtures not so much, but does it matter?  Owned by everyone.  Will have pens when Townsend not on the pitch.  Blank in GW27 but DGW28

Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (A)
West Ham (H)
– Gameweek 27 –
GW28 Swansea (H)
GW28 QPR (A)
Man Utd (A)

Defoe

Good start and pretty good fixtures to come.  A proven premier league goalscorer who will be the focal point of what attack there is at Sunderland

Swansea (A)
QPR (H)
West Brom (H)
Man Utd (A)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (H)

Berahino

The man who thinks he should be playing for Real Madrid given how he’s been bigging himself up this week.  This is about fixtures and some reasonable form.  It’s not about consistency over the season thats for sure.  Does have pens.

Burnley (A)
Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)
Southampton (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Stoke (H)

RVP

This is only about fixtures and pens.  No form, no consistency and pretty poor returns to date for the price.

West Ham (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)
Sunderland (H)
Newcastle (A)
Spurs (H)

Austin

Good returns and consistency over the season plus pen duties.  Ordinary form at the moment and mixed fixtures coming up though make him a bit of a gamble.  The Sherwood attack is the best form of defence management may suit him (assuming he gets the job).  Blank in GW27 but DGW28.

Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Hull (A)
– Gameweek 27 –
GW28 Arsenal (H)
GW28 Spurs (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

Pelle

The good early season form seems a distant memory as really no form at all at the moment.  This is all about fixtures and they are generally good.

QPR (A)
West Ham (H)
Liverpool (H)
West Brom (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Chelsea (A)

Sturridge

There’s no doubting his quality and he showed last season he could score without Suarez.  Great return with a goal against West Ham.  The fixtures aren’t that pretty though.  Will be eased back but some indications that he will start against Everton.

Everton (A)
Spurs (H)
Southampton (A)
Man City (H)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)

Lukaku

It’s an indictment on strikers form that he’s in the list.  No form apart from the ball hitting his knee to score against Palace, no consistency, no ability to get 10 points or more and ordinary fixtures

Liverpool (H)
Chelsea (A)
Leicester (H)
Arsenal (A)
Stoke (A)
Newcastle (H)
