The importance of your captain pick is highlighted in this gameweek with half going for Aguero and half with Lukaku. We starkly illustrate this by comparing the lowest scorer of the week vs the highest scorer. Still 8 of 10 had green arrows. We also add a key trends and observations section as well as telling you when the transfers were made during the week to see how many transfer early
Ok so here’s our fantasy premier league gameweek 24 tips article. If you haven’t seen this before then , this article includes the scores of the top 10 FPL managers as well as the team selection points. These are just not the current top 10 but 10 managers who’ve been successful over the last 3 years. The 10 managers have never finished outside the top 10k in the last 3 years (30 times playing FPL). The article is all about giving you another view point other than mine. Also the managers I have picked have been consistent showing they can adapt to different seasons.
fantasy premier league gameweek 24 tips – analysing 10 top FPL managers

Team structure
Typically the GK was a cheap GK with McCarthy/Hennessey as a reserve although 4 now are using an elite GK of DeGea and LLoris
In the main 2 or 3 defenders from the group of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs were in the team. No one is using 4 like myself.
The pressure of getting Aguero in has significantly reduced the amount of proper 5th mids. 8/10 now have a 5th mid under £5.0m
The strikers are virtually all Aguero, Lukaku and Kane although 1 has Deeney. No Ighalo anywhere
More and more players over £6.0m are outside the teams of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs.
Focus on 1 managers team
This time I will focus on 2 teams. The highest scoring team of the round vs the lowest scorer
Here’s the highest:
Here’s the lowest:
Incredible to see that both teams have 8 of the same players lining up. Only 3 players in the starting line up are different. The narrow difference between a good and bad score is even worse than that. GK and 3rd defender points were only different by 2 points in total. That means picking Ramsey instead of Alli and captaining Lukaku instead of Aguero cost the 2nd manager 21 points. In terms of gameweek rank. These 2 differences made a 1.7 million ranking difference in the gameweek.
The incredible difference between success and failure and the importance of 50/50 decisions are really starkly outlined here
A combined top 10 FPL managers team
Here’s a team to represent the top 10 FPL managers. The value is around £108m. To get it to a more sustainable value you would have to sacrifice Payet for a cheap midfielder
