fantasy premier league gameweek 32 tips – the bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s our fantasy premier league gameweek 32 tips article where we outline the bandwagons and sinking ships so far in gameweek 32. These are the 5 most transferred in and out players so far in the gameweek. Just a reminder that these are purely driven by stats from the FPL site and not my view of them. I’ve also changed the format with a table of stats for easy comparison followed by the ususal narrative and next 6 fixtures

So the new format sees a table of stats for easy reference of the various players with narrative and the fixtures below the table to the end of the season. The table also has a key to understand the headings. Some of the stats don’t really work for defenders and vice versa for the attacking players which is why you’ll see some blank areas in the table.

Key: G/A – Goals/Assists
CS/GA – Team Clean sheets/Goals conceded for defenders only
Mins per FPL points – How many minutes it takes to earn an FPL point. The lower the better
Consistency – The % of games that a goal or assist is earned.

Blank/DGWs – The blank and double gameweeks ahead.  BGW means they have no fixture in GW35.
CS/ATGS odds – Clean sheet/ Anytime Goal scoring odds from one bookie.  Too early for ATGS odds

The Bandwagons

These are the 5 most transferred in players so far in the gameweek

Payet

The West Ham AM continues to be very consistent and on course for the double double of 10 goals and 10 assists.  One of the stronger underlying stats in the league for creating chances.  Doesn’t have much in the way of shooting stats but goals have resulted from an ability to get into the box at the right time.  Has set piece responsibility for West Ham although pens are with Mark Noble.

Kane

2 goals and an assist against Bournemouth for the Spurs forward continues his great form after a slow start which has distorted some of his stats.  Great underlying shooting stats not only over the season but recently too.  Also has pens.  Out of all the other competitions now as well so less rotation risk.

Bellerin

Another assist makes it 3 in the last 2 games for the Arsenal RB.  However despite that his underlying creating chances stats could be better.  The Arsenal defence is among the best though in my view.  No distractions of other competitions should limit rotation to the end of the season

Coutinho

A goal from distance against Southampton for the Liverpool AM following his 3 assists from a couple of games ago have bought him into focus. Does have good shooting stats within the box despite giving the impression he shoots regularly from the centre circle.  Frustratingly inconsistent as the returns show.  Within the only team with 2 DGWs and a GW35 fixture.  However continued presence in the Europa League could cause potential rotation issues.

Arnautovic

Normally someone is in this table after a big haul in the last gameweek or have a good fixture next.  However the Stoke LAM blanked at the weekend and home to Swansea is a good fixture but not exactly home to Villa.  Over the season his underlying stats have been poor although his shooting stats have improved in recent gameweeks and he does have the knack of getting into the box at the right time.  Does have some set piece responsibility and does have pens when Bojan is off the pitch.

The Sinking Ships

These are the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek

Ozil

The Arsenal CAM, otherwise known as Mr Consistency has now drawn 3 consecutive blanks which will always trigger transfers out.  The leading assist maker has also seen his creating chances stats which he leads over the season drop off in recent games.  Is this a short term issue or permanent one is what FPL managers need to decide.  Alot of set piece responsibility for Arsenal.

Watford (H)
West Ham (A)
Crystal Palace (H)  DGW34
West Brom (H)  DGW34
Sunderland (A)
Norwich (H)
Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)

Ighalo

No goals or assists in the last 7 makes it surprising anyone is still holding the Watford forward.  Despite this his underlying stats in recent games continue to be good which gives hope of an upturn.

Barkley

The Everton CAM is frustratingly inconsistent as shown by the fact that after scoring twice in GW24 he’s now gone 5 games with no goals or assists.  Thats always going to see transfers out.  No underlying shooting or creating chances stats though to hang your hat on for an improvement.  With nothing to play for in the premier league the FA Cup may become the gametime focus

Hart

The Man City GK is out for at least a month with a calf injury.  That would see him back for around GW35/36.  £4.8m reserve GK Caballero will take his place until then

Kompany

The Man City CB is out for about 5 weeks which could see him miss the rest of the season.  I expect Otamendi to hold his place as CB meaning that the likely replacement for Kompany will come from the £5.3m pair of Demichelis or Mangala
