So here’s the team with the lineup. In the end I took McAuley out for Kone of Sunderland. Reversing what I did in draft 4. The whole transfer thing to Everton despite a fee being agreed seems to have slowed a bit and Sunderland have offered a new contract. Either way although alot of risk in Kone there’s alot of upside if it all went right. A £4.5m Everton defender if he can get a place is great value and a £4.5m defender in a Moyes team that will be solid is also good. I have no definite GW3 wildcard thoughts and don’t want to force my thinking down that route. So although I could have waited to see what happened if I did I don’t want to lose the flexibility. I did also think about Souare of Palace who seems like he will be fit but although they have good fixtures I’m not sure they have the clean sheet potential there.
So here’s the final team and there’s a few other thoughts after that:
I’ve had alot of wobbling on Fischer. It gives me 3 new players to the premier league in Ibrahimovic, Gray and Fischer plus a player in Hazard who was a disaster last season. Add to that the Kone and Amat risk and it feels like a team with some potential to go wrong. I’ve also read various things about whether Fischer will start or not. I have toyed with the idea of taking Fischer out and repalcing him with Puncheon or Fischers team mate Ramirez. Puncheon has the potential for a more advanced role if Bolasie leaves and good fixtures. Ramirez will probably play more centrally.
I’m sticking with Fischer now but he’s definitely a risk.
