Here’s an article bought on by the injury to Coutinho which according to reports will see him out for 5 to 6 weeks. With his price going down tonight and Kanes going up (according to the excellent site FPL Statistics) it was time for an early transfer. Also here’s some options if you’re just looking for a straight Coutinho transfer
fantasy premier league GW14 – Coutinho replacements and early transfer done
My priority for this week has been to get Harry Kane in. My transfers last week were set up to allow it this week albeit with a 4 point hit. I hate taking them btw and it’s my first of the season. However the situation changed in order to facilitate that with the Coutinho injury.
COUTINHO REPLACEMENTS
Firstly here’s a table of basic stats for like for like changes for Coutinho. They are sorted in order of anytime goal scorer odds for GW14.
Here’s the link to the Fixture ease article if you want more info on fixtures
Personally I would go for Firmino first although a small injury risk may put you off a transfer tonight, then either Walcott or Siggy.
Here’s the table anyway:

FFGEEK EARLY TRANSFER
Kane has been my target for a couple of weeks now due to a good run of fixtures.
Here they are:
Swansea (H)
Man Utd (A)
Hull (H)
Burnley (H)
Southampton (A)
Watford (A)
I set up last week to be able to take out Austin and Williams to get him in. However the Coutinho transfer changed things. I could have got some Spurs coverage through Alli or Eriksen but Kane seems the real option for those fixtures. Much as I hate 4 point hits it seems worth it. I could have taken out Austin and got a quality midfield replacement but Austin impresses me each time I see him. Taking out Anichebe (I know he’s just come in) keeps Austin but makes the replacement for Coutinho pretty ordinary.
Here are the options in the basic stat form. Remember the cash available to me is £5.9m
So not exactly an exciting choice. I hate having anyone in the team with £3.00 anytime goal scoring odds let alone £4.00 but without downgrading the defence and taking an 8 point hit that didn’t seem feasible. No one apart from Fer with good fixtures even. In the end I went for Stanislas. He has some good underlying shooting stats and some set piece responsibility.
Here’s his fixtures:
Liverpool (H)
Burnley (A)
Leicester (H)
Southampton (H)
Chelsea (A)
Swansea (A)
Here’s the team post transfer with a possible lineup:
Hope you found that useful and good luck with your early transfer if you’re doing one
