Here’s the team. Interestingly there seems to be only our site and 1 other who show their overall rank. The transfers were as follows:
- Pelle out Aguero in
- De Bruyne out Deulofeu in and a 4 point hit for my troubles
The transfers
All week and even to tonight I’ve been debating the transfer. Most of the week I was sure I would put in Aguero and it was who I would take out for De Bruyne as Sanchez with the fixtures was going no where. If cash wasn’t an issue then Coutinho would have been my choice although he is a big injury doubt. So originally then in real options I wanted to put in Lanzini as that gave me enough cash for an Arsenal defender over Targett but the underlying stats and fixtures just didn’t stack up for Lanzini even though he has taken the CAM place of Payet. I may have taken a punt on Lamela who has good fixtures and underlying stats but his fitness is a concern. It then became a debate between Barkley and Deulofeu. Both have good fixtures. A debate between a CAM position and slightly better underlying stats of Barkley vs consistency and returns of Deulofeu. In the end I need the price difference of Deulofeu so he was the choice.
I had alot of debate though over Kane or Aguero. Kane though if I was to put him in and then put Aguero in over Vardy wuld have given me no funds for the De Bruyne replacement. That was the real problem so in the end I went for Aguero over Pelle
Team selection
Again little debate here now Surman is in the team. The front 7 choose themselves.
So no issue with Kolarov at home to a Southampton team without Pelle even with Kompany unavailable. Same for Moreno home to Swansea where a clean sheet is well overdue. So the choice is Darmiann or Richards. Both the bookies odds and my analysis said Villa so I stuck with that. Darmians gametime risk also didn’t help the situation either.
Captain choice
Lukaku is the polls choice so I’ve gone with him and Ozil as a certain selection and consistent as the vice.
