Here’s our fantasy premier league GW15 article where we analyse the teams of 10 top FPL managers. These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection.

GAMEWEEK REVIEW
A poor week for the top 10 FPL managers. Only 3/10 had green arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW14 was 48 compared to the game average of 47. That’s 1 point and 2% above the game average score. High score of the 10 was 58. The low score was 35. A very high spread of 23 for a low scoring gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a worsening to 341k compared to 277k in the last gameweek. An average rank worsening of 64k. The best overall rank is 45k and the lowest 630k.
The average points are 767.
The average value improved from £102.4m to £103.0m
If you’re interested my score was poor at 46 (-4) and resulted in a 46k red arrow from 96k overall rank to 142k . I had a higher score than 3 of the managers. I’m ahead in OR terms at the moment of 9/10 of the managers. My team value is up by £0.7m on the last gameweek to £103.0m. My total points is 786. TEAM STRUCTURE OF THE 10 MANAGERS
I won’t update this every week
FOCUS ON 1 MANAGERS TEAM
The celebrity manager we followed last season finished around the 20k mark so he’s not in the group this season. This season were going to focus on the manager each week who had the highest finish last season with an amazing overall rank of 15 believe it or not.
A poor score of 40 for this manager. He was the 2nd lowest scorer of the 10 and his rank is 231k. A worsening of rank of 79k from last weeks OR of 152k. His points total is 774. He’s the 3rd equal ranked of the 10 FPL managers. Amazingly he doesn’t own Salah.
THE HIGHEST SCORER
His score was 58
THE LOWEST SCORER
His score was 35.
This was more typical of last season where the differences lie
6 of the 11 players were the same including 5 of the 7 attacking players
As I mention above, I’ve often said that differences in scores in a gameweek come down to 1 of more of the following 3 things normally:
Defence – 12 points difference
Captain – 5 points additional difference
A few attackers – Sterling made an 8 point difference in 2 players with RLC pegging 1 back to him. I can’t make the maths work? but you get the idea
