The short gap to fantasy premier league gameweek 15 has made it impossible to do my normal articles so I thought I’d do a quick few lines on the fantasy premier league captain choices in order to give you some ideas. There wont be the level of detail normally associated with the article though

As I said in my normal article my belief on the captain choice normally is to go with a team that is top 4 challenging against a team that has potential to be relegated. this week is difficult for that criteria
Aguero (away to Southampton)
Man City is away to Southampton which has the potential to be a very difficult game. However, Saints have difficulties with Fonte not guaranteed to start and Clyne out in defence. Yoshida and Chambers are no replacements. Further the back 4 protection of Schneiderlin and Wanyama are also both injured. I don’t expect the Saints defence to perform as they have usually and therefore Aguero is a viable option for me. I talk about the injuries but with Aguero it doesn’t matter who the opposition are anyway
Verdict: Yes
Hernandez (home to Newcastle)
Bit of a gametime punt here. Rooneys suspended and RVP going through the normal ridiculous will he wont he scenario. I can see a Kagawa behind Hernandez front 2. Newcastle aren’t in any relegation danger at the moment but there away defence is terrible and I can see some goals being scored by United. Hernandez should be the beneficiary. If RVP by some miracle does start then I don’t expect Hernandez too.
Verdict: No. Too much gametime risk for me
Suarez (home to West Ham)
After 4 goals and an assist against Norwich. Only watch out is the West Ham defence. Only Arsenal and Spurs have a better away defence in my mind. With no striker they’ll be ultra defensive. However I just can’t see them stopping Suarez in this form
Verdict: Definitely yes
Others
Negredo should play against Southampton after being rested during the week so at a push he could be an option. With Arsenal playing Everton I’ve ruled out the armband for either of those teams due to difficult opposition defences. Chelsea are playing at Stoke who’s home defence is the 4th best in the league so I’ve ruled out the armband there. Spurs cant be trusted goal wise anywhere, so even a trip to Sunderland looks too difficult for the captains armband there.
Looking at who the poorer sides are playing. Hull are away to Swansea with both Michu and Bony doubts so I’ve ruled them out. Norwich are away to WBA. I guess Shane Long could be an option if you were completely stuck but its a step way too far for me. Fulham are home to Villa but with selection uncertainty over Benteke and Kozak then that rules that option out.
Summary:
Here’s my viable fantasy premier league captain options then in order of preference for GW15:
1. Suarez
2. Aguero
