Here’s where we look at the alternative FFGeek teams. One is a bookies odds based team and the other a shots on target based team.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW15 TIPS – THE ALTERNATE FFGEEK TEAMS
THE BOOKIES TEAM
This is a team based on the anytime goal scoring odds of the bookies. It replaces the attacking player with the worst anytime goalscoring odds for the player with the best anytime goalscoring odds for the next game with no other factors taken into account. It does work within a basic team structure though and only 1 attacking player per premier league team. 2 transfers every 2 weeks except for injuries. I have made 1 addition to the rule that the best odds player of the week when transfers are made should be brought into the team and made captain unless already in the team. That will normally be Aguero. That will override other rules which is why Costa can be bought this weekend for Aguero.
GW14 points: 65 overall rank: 91,247 team value: £100.3
Here’s how it fared last week which saw a small 9k red arrow:
Here’s how it line’s up this week:
Costa comes in for Aguero who’s suspended
Here’s how it looks on clean sheet odds and Anytime goal scoring odds
2.91 looks like a disaster waiting to happen
THE SHOTS ON TARGET TEAM
This is a team based on the Shots on Target underlying stat. This is widely thought to be the most accurate predictor of goals. The team transfer policy is to replace the attacking player with the worst Shots on Target stats for the player with the best Shots on Target stats with no other factors taken into account. I’ve tweaked the rules to allow more than 1 player from an attacking team. To me it seems the stat stands alone and not related to opposition like the bookies odds team. The disadvantage of this stat is that it takes a while for the data to build up to a reasonable sample size. Shots on target are assessed on a per minute basis rather than an aggregate basis. The captain choice is the highest ranked pollster
GW14 points: 29 overall rank: 711,913 team value: £100.4
After making such good progress it was an absolute disastrous week of the highest order. 29 was a terrible score with the front 7 scoring an unreal 8 points in total. It was a good thing for 3 clean sheets in defence. The rank damage was nigh on 400k to 711k
Here’s how the team lines up. 3 transfers and a 4 point hit for the 3 injured players
Aguero out – Ibra in, Austin out – Costa in and Stanislas out for De Roon for the extra cash. No Hazard no Sanchez for at least 2 weeks. Wow
