FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW18 TEAM TIPS – FFGEEK CONTRIBUTORS SHOW THEIR TEAMS PART 2
Here’s part 2 of the 10 or so FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It also wont cover early transfers. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.
Here’s the link to the part 1 contributors article if you haven’t seen it and see which players are in theteams of 10 top FPL managers

GW17 review
So a bad week already with only 4/11 returns. This was then hammered home by high ownership players such De Gea, Lukaku and Silva posting good returns. In the end it was a nasty 50k red arrow, dropping me back out of the top 250k.
I have to confess that I’m a bit frustrated by my overall rank this season. I’ve only had a couple of really bad gameweeks but I’ve not had any really high scoring ones and this is why my ranking has been static between 200k and 350k for a few weeks now.
However, I’m ranked higher than I have been at this stage in the last 3 seasons – the season I finished in the top 5k I was ranked 840k going into GW19, so maybe I’m being a bit tough on myself. I’ve certainly been on the wrong end of some 50/50 calls though and I’m hoping this will even out over the season. So let’s not dwell on this any further and have a look what’s on the cards for GW18.
GW18 Team
As mentioned above, it’s all about the injuries this week. Thankfully after the Press Conferences it looks like Ward is my only concern. I’ve decided to hold him based on the fact that it looks like only a short term injury and that I want to retain Burnley coverage. Their gw19 and 20 fixtures are tough, but I’d rather not burn a transfer trying to get coverage back with a DGW on the horizon.
I’m still going to use my transfer though – Brighton have conceded 9 in the last 3 games so Duffy is high on my sale list. I’ve been wanting Man Utd defensive coverage for a while so this will be my transfer. Smalling and Jones are both £5.4m, Smalling is less injury prone and gives steady minutes but Jones offers better bp potential so I’ve gone for him.
For my team, I’m benching Otamendi with him playing Spurs along with Simpson and Loftus-Cheek. With Morata fit, I’m giving Hazard the armband – he should be more effective in his familiar role.
All the best this week folks. Green arrows all round Hopefully!
ALEX BALL
Alex finished in 10k in 16/17 28k in 15/16 and 3k in 14/15

Alex is on holiday and didn’t make any transfers this week but has enough signal to send in his team and this pic to tell us how hard life is! You can also see from his team picture that being out in the middle of nowhere hasn’t changed his attitude to charging his phone!
FPL WORD
Top 9k in 16/17, top 1k in 15/16, top 5k in 14/15

When we last messaged Word was still thinking about Ward but possibly going to roll the transfer and Captain Hazard
