Here’s the return of our fantasy premier league top 10 managers article. Here we follow and analyse the teams of 10 top FPL managers. These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection.

THE 10 MANAGERS FPL STATS
This season we welcome back 4 of last seasons managers who were the subject of our article. We add to that a new 6 managers. The stats of these managers are unbelievable and every bit as impressive as last season
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 2,963
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. All 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
Score and rank at GW1 isn’t particularly significant but here goes anyway.
The average score of the managers in GW1 was 76 compared to the average of 58. Thats 18 points and 31% above the average score. The high score of the 10 was 95. The low score was 64. A big spread of 31 for the average.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers after GW1 is 584k. The lowest rank is 1.391 million. The highest rank is 20k. The median score and rank as another way of looking at it are 76.5 and 449k.
If you’re interested my score was good at 85. Only 1 manager had a higher score.

FOCUS ON 1 MANAGERS TEAM
The celebrity manager we followed last season finished around the 20k mark so he’s not in the group this season. This season were going to focus on the manager each week who had the highest finish of an overall rank of 15 last season believe it or not.

So he scored an incredible 95 which is a great start.

The highest and lowest scoring managers only had Elliot, Mee, Carroll and Lukaku in common. Lukaku being the only significant attacking player which is interesting and very untypical as to how the differences were last season. However it is only GW1.
TOP 10 MANAGERS COMBINED TEAM
Here’s a team to represent the top 10 managers. Its over budget at £102.5m. However it’s just meant to be a visualisation of the most popular players rather than an achievable team.
The core players who are in more than 50% of the 10 managers teams are Elliot, Foster, Long, Mee, Carroll, De Bruyne, Lukaku and Kane.
