Here’s my GW2 midfielders over £6.0m “ones to watch”.  There’s a table of stats to help you make your choice and I’ve started to integrate this years numbers although obviously 1 games data does give fairly distorted results

Ramsey

Played in the double pivot but still gets high up the pitch consistently.  Said himself that he wasn’t at his best for this game but still found the net by being in the right place at the right time.  Limited amount of shots and chances created but did get into the box reasonably regularly.  However Ramseys game is defying these stats and getting into great scoring positions and finishing.  Tricky fixtures to come though.  40% ownership means he has to be in your team

Next 6 fixtures:

Everton (A)
Leicester (A)
Man City (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Spurs (H)
Chelsea (A)

Sterling

Played in the front 3 with Coutinho and Sturridge.  Looked consistently dangerous and could have got more than the goal and assist.  Difficult fixtures are the challenge, especially the next 2 and the reason why you may get away with ignoring his high ownership for the minute

Man City (A)
Spurs (A)
Aston Villa (H)
West Ham (A)
Everton (H)
West Brom (H)

Sigurdsson

2 great fixtures coming up.  Didn’t have that many chances but made the most of his CAM position.  A real star in the team apart from Bony should help future bonus points

Burnley (H)
West Brom (H)
Chelsea (A)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Newcastle (H)

Silva

Took his chance well and was generally very good against Newcastle.  Doesn’t score enough and injury prone are the 2 watch outs.  Definitely gets the chances but could be better at converting.  Fixtures aren’t easy but City can score against anyone and remember they scored over 100 last season.

Liverpool (H)
Stoke (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (A)

Fabregas

Was absolutely brilliant in making Chelsea more assertive from the double pivot position and already in with the assist of the year award.  Interestingly didn’t have 1 shot.  Is he going to be a player who lives by assists alone?  Has corners and indirect free kicks which will help that but will be an interesting watch.  Home to Leicester next is the time to buy though if you’re going to get on board

Leicester (H)
Everton (A)
Swansea (H)
Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Arsenal (H)

YYT

Incredibly quiet game against a Newcastle side that did more than expected in opposition.  Only had 1 shot and that was from outside the box.  Fernando’s acquisition should have given him more licence to roam.  However 1 game is definitely no where near enough to dismiss him after last year.  Aguero coming back soon will  take pens away.  Difficult fixtures to come

Liverpool (H)
Stoke (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (A)

Hazard

Created a couple of chances but no shots on goal the entire game.  In such a dominant performance that isn’t great.  However that is the inconsistency that you get with Hazard.  At home to Leicester this week we could easily get the same or he could get a hat trick.  Home to Leicester is not the time to sell by the way

Leicester (H)
Everton (A)
Swansea (H)
Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Arsenal (H)

Sanchez

Created chances and had a few shots but only return cam e from a free kick.  Generally looked on the periphery due to some close attention from a physical Palace.  Too much quality and plays in too advanced a position to be quiet forever though.  Tricky fixtures to come.

Next 6 fixtures:

Everton (A)
Leicester (A)
Man City (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Spurs (H)
Chelsea (A)

Eriksen

Difficult to assess after Spurs lost control to West Ham after the sending off.  Had a few shots and created a few chances but no return.  Has the advantage of set pieces.  Initially played on the flank but then swapped with Lamela to play centrally.  I don’t think this is a huge issue as he constantly drifts inside anyway.  It’s just whether Poccetinho will be stricter with him on his positioning than Sherwood was.  Good fixture next is not the time to sell

QPR (H)
Liverpool (H)
Sunderland (A)
West Brom (H)
Arsenal (A)
Southampton (H)

Mata

Extremely disappointing performance from him given the opposition and him being in his favoured number 10 position.  However United have been better away last season and the 2 next games will be an interesting test.  The fixtures are generally good but as most will own Rooney do you really want the risk of doubling up?

Sunderland (A)
Burnley (A)
QPR (H)
Leicester (A)
West Ham (H)
Everton (H)
