FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW24 REVIEW – PART 2

SPURS 1 MIDDLESBORO 0

Here’s the pass and position map for Spurs from the excellent site 11tegen11

Kane

1 Goal (pen).  90 mins.  CF.  Had a few chances.  The best one was when he missed a very easy header central on the 6 yard line crossed by Son.

Alli

Blanked.  87 mins.  LAM.  Played very advanced.  Great chance when put through by Eriksen but shot into the side netting

Eriksen

Blanked.  90 mins.  RAM. Set piece dominance.  That was his main potential for points apart from being put through 1 on 1 with the GK.   The rest of chances were shooting from distance

Negredo

Blanked.  90 mins.  CF.  Had a few chances but couldn’t get anything on target

Defences

Game was dominated by Spurs although Boro had a few chances to score

SOUTHAMPTON 1 WEST HAM 3

Here’s the West Ham pass and position map

Carroll

1 goal.  CF.  55 mins.  Great goal when put through 1 on 1 with the GK by Obiang.  Apart from that did very little.

Antonio

Blanked SS.  90 mins.  Very quiet and little threat

Snodgrass

1 assist.  LAM  90 mins.  Had some  set piece responsibility but offered little threat apart from the assist for the Obiang goal which in effect was a cleared corner

Defences

West Ham were under the kosh for most of the game and Southampton must have wondered how they lost this

WATFORD 2 BURNLEY 1

Deeney

1 goal. 90 mins . CF Had a few chances.   Excellent headed goal.

Niang

1 goal and 1 assist. RF 80 mins. Great start.  Had fairly shoot on sight policy.  A top quality near post header for the goal and cross for the assist.

Gray

Blanked.  54 mins.  Did nothing

Barnes

1 goal (pen).  90 mins.  Generally a good goal threat throughout

defence

Both teams had a reasonable number of chances.

WBA 1 STOKE 0

Here’s the WBA pass and position map

Rondon

Blanked.  90 mins.  CF.  Had one great chance on the counter but shot straight at the GK

Phillips

Blanked.  86 mins.  RAM.  Little goal or assist threat

Morrison

1 goal.  88 mins.  CAM.  Got forward well and scored when put through by Chadli.  Apart from the goal didn’t threaten much.

Crouch

Blanked.  57 mins.  CF.  Did absolutely nothing

Arnautovic

Blanked.  90 mins.  LAM.  Did very little.

Defences

Reasonable defensive performances from both teams

EVERTON 6 BOURNEMOUTH 3

Here’s the Everton pass and position map

Lukaku

4 goals.  90 mins.  CF.  Impossible to describe how good his finishing was.  Scored with virtually every chance he had.

Barkley

1 goal and 1 assist.  90 mins.  CM.  The goal was a breakaway and in truth he wasn’t much of a goal threat.  Did create a few chances though.

Fraser

1 assist.  90 mins.  RWB.  Too wide to look a goal threat but good assist for King

King

2 goals.  90 mins. CF.  I said before I was a big fan.  Great finishing from a real poacher who knows how to get into goal scoring positions

Defences

The scary thing is that 9 goals doesn’t even come close to describing the circus that this game was.  4 of the goals had to be seen to be believed with Bournemouth the most guilty
