TRANSFER DILEMMA’S
I’ve got 2 transfers but I want to carry one over to have 2 after the FA Cup 5th round to give more flexibility.
My 2 transfer targets are Aguero and getting Sigurdsson in for the Leicester home game. The natural transfer is Lukaku in for Aguero as it’s difficult to see Aguero starting against Bournemouth. However having taken the pain from last week I’m going to leave Aguero in and hope that Middlesboro’s defensive attitude can limit Lukaku’s returns. Also with Sanchez and Ibra having strong home games he shouldn’t be too much of a captain issue. Lukaku will come in for GW26 home to Sunderland when Man City have a buy.
So that means the transfer is either Alli or Firmino out for Sigurdsson. As I write this I still haven’t decided. The obvious answer is to keep Alli in but it’s not that straightforward. Looking at the pro’s and con’s. Neiether have any great form with similar points in their last 4 games. Firmino will be a striker so that’s certainly a plus for him. Spurs have better fixtures though. After Liverpool they have Stoke and Everton at home. Looking at the underlying stats though Firmino is the winner by miles. He has 3 times the shots in the box and 3 times the shots on target in the last 4. In each game he was far superior. However in terms of GW28 Spurs have more chance of a fixture in GW28 as a weakened team in the 4th round away to Fulham could lose. That GW28 game would be Palace away. Liverpool are virtually certain of a bye as Burnley would have to lose to Lincoln in the cup
In the end I went for Firmino out. However it was a real 50/50 and I’m kind of thinking whatever I did it will come back to bite me.
TEAM SELECTION
No issues here. With Ake not playing and Watford away to Man Utd the back 3 picks itself so no real selection issues there.

I will be doing a captain article but for the moment I’m going with Sanchez
