FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW26 – 5 TRANSFERS TO CONSIDER

Firstly I’d like to say that these transfer suggestions are meant to give you a change that will increase your probability of better points. However there can never be a guarantee of points improvement. So please consider the options and the rationale but ultimately make up your own mind and accept responsibility for your decision.

JESUS OUT LUKAKU IN

So probably the most completed and obvious transfer of the gameweek but one if you have Jesus that is worth considering now. Firstly Jesus with his broken Metertarsal looks out for the season.   Lukaku is a player within 1 of 8 teams that has a fixture in the blank gameweeks of GW26 and GW28.  Lukaku has good season returns, reasonable consistency and an ability to score big when on his game.  Moreover he is a runaway captain favourite in the polls against possibly the worst defence in the league.  Has been confirmed as fit

Next 6 fixtures for Lukaku:

Sunderland (H)
Spurs (A)
West Brom (H)
Hull (H)
Liverpool (A)
Man Utd (A)

SANCHEZ OUT MANE IN

It seems a bizarre decision to take out probably the number 1 midfielder in FPL but 2 blanks in the next 3 and a game against a resurgent Liverpool between those 2 blanks lessens the blow.  Liverpool are unaffected by the blanks.  It’s a difficult choice over which Liverpool player to go for.  However look at my article on the Liverpool midfielders if you want more detail.  Mane to me is probably marginally the best pick although it’s a difficult choice at best.

Arsenal next 6 fixtures:

Blank GW26
Liverpool (A)
Blank GW28
West Brom (A)
Man City (H)
West Ham (H)

Liverpool next 6 fixtures:

Leicester (A)

Burnley (H)
Man City (A)
Everton (H)
Bournemouth (H)

SANCHEZ OUT HAZARD IN

As I said above It seems a bizarre decision to take out probably the number 1 midfielder in FPL but 2 blanks in the next 3 and a game against a resurgent Liverpool between those 2 blanks lessens the blow.  In taking Hazard in you have to accept a blank in GW28 but the fixtures around that blank are excellent and you may think it’s worth the sacrifice.  Apart from the fixtures Hazard has pens, consistency, recent form and the ability to produce big returns.  The only negative is that his underlying stats suggests he’s over performing somewhat.

Arsenal next 6 fixtures:

Blank GW26
Liverpool (A)
Blank GW28
West Brom (A)
Man City (H)
West Ham (H)

Chelsea next 6 fixtures:

Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)
Blank GW28
Stoke (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Man City (H)

ROSE OUT COLEMAN IN

You may have been holding Rose in the hope that he was fit for the Stoke home game but it doesn’t seem he’s going to be fit for that.  Everton have no blanks in GW26 and GW28 and Sunderland next so it’s a good time to make a transfer.  Here’s a link to the Everton team focus article which will help you choose the Everton defender you think best.  I’ve gone for Coleman due to the goal threat

Spurs next 6 fixtures:

Stoke (H)
Everton (H)
Blank GW28
Southampton (H)
Burnley (A)
Swansea (A)

Everton 6 fixtures:

Sunderland (H)
Spurs (A)
West Brom (H)
Hull (H)
Liverpool (A)
Man Utd (A)

JONES OUT FUNES MORI

Jones has a hamstring injury with no return date and 2 blanks.  The issue is the game against Bournemouth in the interim but it seems difficult to believe he will be fit for that.  Funes Mori is the cheaper version of the Everton defence and has now started the last 6.  Everton have no blank weeks and an improving defence.  Funes Mori may not have the attacking threat of Coleman and Baines but he is no mug at set pieces.  Although this hasn’t translated into goals this year he did score 4 last season.

Man Utd next 6 fixtures:

Blank GW26
Bournemouth (H)
Blank GW28
Middlesbrough (A)
West Brom (H)
Everton (H)

Everton next 6 fixtures:

Sunderland (H)
Spurs (A)
West Brom (H)
Hull (H)
Liverpool (A)
Man Utd (A)

Hope that gave you some food for thought for your FPL team
