Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. THE 10 MANAGERS FPL STATS
The stats of the top 10 managers are incredible again this season.
1. The overall average finishing position of the top 10 managers is 2,943
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 years (ie 30 times playing)
3. 9 of the 10 have finished in the top 1,000
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
A good week for the top 10 FPL managers. 9 of the 10 had green arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW25 was 61 compared to the average of 47. Thats 14 points and 30% above the average score. The high score of the 10 was 71. The low score was 46. A closer spread of 25 for the gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw an improvement of rank to 199k compared to the last gameweek of 222k. An improvement of rank of 23k. The best rank is less than 100 and the lowest 704k. A couple of scores are distorting the average. If you calculated the median rank then that improved to 140k compared to 153k last gameweek. An improvement of rank of 13k. At the moment 4 have overall ranks inside 100k. 2 are inside the top 10k.
The average value sees a slight worsening to £105.0 from £105.1m in the last gameweek
If you’re interested my score was ok at 58. 2 of the managers had a worse gameweek score. My overall rank is now 294k compared to 319k last gameweek. An improvement of rank of 23k. I’m now ahead of 3 of the top 10 managers. My team value is low in comparison at £101.5m. A big drop on the last gameweek of £102.0m. My total score is 1310 points.

The top 10k average score was 55 compared to the Top FPL managers of 60.

FOCUS ON 1 MANAGERS TEAM
Again we focus on the managers team who last season finished the highest of my then top 10 FPL managers ending up in 1,400th position. This manager is the closest thing to a fantasy football celebrity there is due to his consistent results so we’ll keep an eye on him.
A good week. At present he has a 27k overall rank, an improvement in rank of 12k from the last gameweek of 39k. His total points are 1,400 after a good score of 70 this gameweek. Just to give you a bit of context his last 3 years overall rankings have been 1,450, 277 and 90.
THE HIGHEST SCORING AND LOWEST SCORING MANAGERS IN GW25

The highest scorer was 71 for our leading FPL manager who’s now in the top 100
Lowest scorer
A low score of 46 sees him fall to 320k.
So again captains and defence make the difference as 5 out of the 7 attacking players are the same. The attacking players without the captain effect made a difference of 4 points. Out of the total difference of 25 points 11 were in defence and 10 were due to the captain difference. Small margins in FPL can make big points difference
By the way the lowest scoring manager this weeks last 3 years ranks are 6,162 and 930 and 3,391

Here’s the core team of players owed by more than 50% of the FPL managers. The highlighted non grey ones are those above 50%
The core players are then 7: Ibra, Lukaku, Sigurdsson, Sanchez, Phillips, Alli, Coleman and Alonso. Starting to look like more of a template now which is understandable going into the blank weeks.
If you cross reference this with the top 10k managers with players over 50% then by that only Sanchez and Lukaku are the essentials.
